„Just text her, George. From what you've told me it doesn't seem like she made that up only to leave." Georges trainer told him as they walked into the paddock of Monza together the following Thursday.

„Yeah, I will." George said, still insecure about it, not able to tell if she would like to go on another date with him or not.

„George, the only way to know is by asking her. If she doesn't want to she will say so." His trainer was absolutely right. George couldn't say anything about that.

George only had media duties today but they weren't until a little later so he sat down in his drivers room and took out his phone to finally text Willow.

His fingers hovered over the screen as he wasn't sure what to write exactly. Fortunately he would have a free week right after the Italian Grand Prix so finding a date and time would be a little easier - IF she said yes.

He didn't want to take her out for dinner again - I was nice but he wanted to do something more special this time.

George started typing, hoping to come up with something good in the process.

After 10 minutes of typing and deleting he came up with the final product. He would have liked it to be a little better but it was all he could think of.

Hey! I really enjoyed dinner on Monday and I was wondering if you are free on Tuesday?

He sent it and then put his phone down, too nervous to look at it while waiting for an answer.

His phone vibrated just a few minutes later and he walked over quickly form the desk to the sofa where he had put it.

Free the whole day! Got a plan already?

Willow happily agreed to go, no matter what they would be doing. After their slightly awkward goodbye in the car where she wished he had kissed her one last time, she wasn't sure if she should text him or wait until he texted her - additionally she wasn't even sure if it wasn't only a sex thing. She didn't regret sleeping with him so early on but she still wondered if she sent the false signs to him by doing so. When she got his message she quickly checked her calendar and was relieved as she saw she would have time for him.

Yes, got a plan but it's a surprise! I'll pick you up at 11 if that's alright?

Willow would have to wait another five days to find out what they were going to do but she was excited. Anticipation was a great thing to feel.

That Sunday she watched the GP again. She wanted to see George drive and she had actually taken some time to learn a bit about the sport and her interest had now awoken.

George qualified brilliantly the day before and was starting from P10.
He fought the whole race to keep his position and bring home his first point for Williams until three laps before the checkered flag fell, Tsunoda flew out of the corner right in front of him.
George managed to avoid and dangers and brought 2 points home at the end of the race.

The commentator went crazy and Willow too couldn't sit calmly on her couch anymore.

"HE DID IT, THAT CRAZY SON OF A GUN! AND IN A WILLIAMS! GEORGE RUSSELL SCORED HIS FIRST POINTS FOR WILLIAMS! NOT ONE BUT TWO!!" sounded from the TV.

Willow had never been that excited for someone else's success. He told her how many time he nearly he missed out on points and how frustrating it was for him to be so close to getting to points and always ending up with nothing. He fought so hard for it and he finally got it. This was just another sing how good of a driver he actually was and how much he deserved that Mercedes seat. Hopefully then people would finally stop underestimating him.

Willow had to congratulate him when she saw him. She wanted to get him a small gift as well and after thinking about it for a while she thought of the best thing to give him.

She turned off the TV and went down to her favorite charity shop a few meters from her apartment to get the gift for him. She knew they would have what she was looking for.
