My Regrets (Ran Mitake x Male Reader)

Chapter 7

*(Y/N)'s POV*

I'm on stage, where there are crowds cheering, giving me an applause after the concert. I look to my right and saw, Taiko and Shizuka, showing me an expression that I did well. I looked back amongst the crowd and saw mom and dad. Mom's expression was showing me an "I am proud of you" kind of look. But dad just looked unsatisfied and walked away, leaving the concert. Everything was black. All I could see at this point was dad, walking away from me, farther and farther away. I reach my hand out towards him, chasing after him. But it was no use, he faded away from my sight. And then I just dropped on my knees, crying my tears out in this pitch black void. After that, I just woke up from my nightmare with tears in my eyes. I sat up wiping away the tears. I know that never happened but....

(Y/N): It's better than not seeing him again. *sighs* I need to get ready for work.

*Few minutes later*

I'm currently waiting for, Ran downstairs so we can walk together on the way, till we split paths again. Just then I saw Ran coming downstairs.

(Ran): Morning, (Y/N). Ready to go?

(Y/N): Yeah, let's get going.

We exit the house and were walking to our destinations like always. I was recalling the dream I had earlier, thinking if that was better than just not seeing him there at all. Ran seemed to have noticed that I was bothered, so she asked.

(Ran): You okay?

(Y/N): Yeah, I'm fine. It's nothing too serious. Sorry to worry you.

I gave her a pat on the head to reassure her.

(Ran): *blushes* I-I'm not a kid you know.

(Y/N): Hehe, sorry. By the way, when am I gonna hear you sing.

(Ran): Well, I have to inform the others first before we make our decision. You're gonna have to wait a bit.

(Y/N): Alright, I'll wait. Anyway it seems that this is our stop. I'll see you at CiRCLE after school.

(Ran): Yeah, I'll see you later, (Y/N).

We left to our respective destinations and split paths. This possibly gonna be our, as Ran says it, "Same as always". Well time for another day at work.

*3:30PM | Live House CiRCLE*

Well, back behind the counter again and Marina is probably tending to the cafeteria or something. We've been doing this routine everyday so far, after cleaning the shop and setting up the music equipment inside the two studios. I wonder which band is going to come in for practice this time.

???: Good afternoon.

Great timing.

???: Are you a new employee?

(Y/N): I am. My name's (Y/N) (L/N). What's your band name?

???: It's Roselia.

Roselia huh? I heard from, Marina said that they're one of the more popular known bands out there. Not sure if we're in their league.
