My Regrets (Ran Mitake x Male Reader)

Chapter 10

*(Y/N)'s POV*

I woke up from my bed and was getting ready for work, until I heard a notification. I looked at my phone and saw that it was a message from, Marina. Basically telling me no work today since it's Sunday today. Well, at least I have a day off today. I reminisced a bit on what happened last night when Ran and I were at the park. I didn't expect her to hug me after making our promise, but it did felt comforting. I don't know why, is Shizuka right?

(Y/N): *sighs* Best not think about it too much.

I exited of my room to resume thinking on what to do for today. As I was walking downstairs, I saw Ran, as she was just about to head out.

(Y/N): Morning Ran.

She jumped a little and looked back at me with small blush on her face.

(Ran): O-oh, Good morning.

She's pretty embarrassed, probably because of the hug that we did last night. Can't say I blame her. The atmosphere is pretty awkward, I have to say something to break the mood.

(Y/N): Say Ran, do you want to take a walk with me downtown?

(Ran): I'm actually about to hang out with, Moca. She asked me to join her to check out this Ramen place that she wanted to go to.

 (Y/N): I thought she would've asked, Tomoe for this sort of thing.

(Ran): She was supposed to, but apparently she was asked to help with some kind of promotion for a shop.

(Y/N): I see. Guess she has her hands full for today then.

(Ran): That's why Moca asked me instead.

(Y/N): Well, don't let me stop you then. Say hi to Moca for me will ya?

(Ran): Sure. Well, I'll be going now. See you.

Just like that, Ran left the house. I'm still left in my mind knowing nothing on what to do for today. 

(Y/N): *sigh* I guess going out for a walk by myself is better than nothing I suppose.

*Thirty Minutes Later*

I was walking around downtown, when I saw the pink bear mascot, Michelle, handing out balloons to little kids with their parents. Seeing them reminds me of myself when I was little. I wish I could turn back time. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that's Misaki. I think I'll say hello.

(Y/N): Hey Misaki.

She look towards my direction.

(Misaki): Oh, good morning (Y/N).

(Y/N): Why are you handing out balloons in your, Michelle costume?

(Misaki): It's my part time job. This is how I actually got the Michelle costume.

(Y/N): I see. Do you always come here for your part time job?

(Misaki): Yep, it gets really hot in this stuffy bear suit though. It doesn't help that it's also summer.

(Y/N): I can't imagine. Well hopefully it doesn't get too hot in that suit. I'm gonna be on my way now. I'll see you later, Misaki.
