*(Y/N)'s POV*

I was waiting for Ran next to her room. I wasn't wearing anything too flashy. I heard the door open as I saw, Ran wearing something pretty casual as well.

(Y/N): I guess we're in the same boat when it comes to clothing.

(Ran): Yeah, you're right. I'm glad we both decided not to wear anything too fancy.

(Y/N): Yeah, I rather just wear something I'm comfortable with. So you ready to go?

(Ran): Yeah.

When we walked downstairs, we saw Mr. Mitake standing next to the door. Seems like he's seeing us off. To be honest, after what happened yesterday morning, I'm not sure if I can look at him properly.

(Mr. Mitake): You two heading off somewhere?

(Ran): Yeah, we're just going out together.

(Mr. Mitake): I see. I'm pretty sure I don't need to say this, but take care of, Ran for me and make sure she doesn't get hurt.

(Y/N): O-of course, without a doubt.

(Mr. Mitake): Good. You two go have fun. You have a long day ahead of you.

(Y/N): Y-yeah, thanks.

(Ran): See you later dad.

As we bid farewell to Mr. Mitake, I couldn't help but feel some kind of relief. The tension when I'm near him because of what I saw yesterday was still in my head, my own father. It's not his fault that I'm avoiding him, and I shouldn't be in the first place.

(Ran): You okay, (Y/N). You look pale.

(Y/N): I-I do?

(Ran): Yeah, did something happen between you and my father?

(Y/N) What? No, nothing happened.

(Ran): Then why were you trying to avoid him.

(Y/N): That's a personal secret.

(Ran): I-I understand.

What a great way to start off this morning, you made someone worried about you. How do I lighten the mood? Wait...

(Y/N): Hey, Ran. Since we're hanging out together today, don't you think this is a date?

(Ran) *blushes* Huh!!?? W-well, i-if it's just us two going out, I-I guess you are correct.

Seems like changing the topic was a good call. She seems to be blushing now. Cute.

(Y/N): Hehe.

(Ran): What?

(Y/N): Nothing, sorry about this morning. It's not Mr. Mitake's fault that I'm avoiding him, it's something else.

(Ran): Then what is it?

(Y/N): As I said before, that's a personal secret. You'll know one day. But for now, we should head off for our "date."

(Ran): *blushes* Y-yeah.

(Y/N): Then let's go.

I reached out my hand to her, as a request to walk together hand in hand. She happily accepted it and we were on our way to who knows where.
