Chapter 21

*Flashback | Taiko's POV*

Shizuka and I were on our way to, (Y/N)'s house to discuss what we're doing at the next event. When we made it to the front door, we heard voices inside the house.

???: (Y/N), I think you should stop singing, it's a waste of time.

Those words came out of Mr. (L/N), but why would he...

(Shizuka): Taiko, over here.

Shizuka was leading me over to the window where we can see, (Y/N) and his parents in the hallway. We saw, (Y/N) and his father having an argument. From what, Mr. (L/N) just said, he wants, (Y/N) to stop singing, saying it was just noise to him. It irritated me. To think he can just say that, let alone so bluntly to his own son.

(Y/N) argued back saying he was serious about singing and he worked so hard just to perform up on stage. We know that for a fact as I've recorded the songs he sang back at my personal studio room.

(Y/N) then gave, Mr. (L/N) two tickets for him and Mrs. (L/N), determined to watch him perform on stage. After a moment of silence, he agreed to come to watch his performance if he can prove that it's not just a bunch of noise, then he will reconsider. (Y/N) was motivated and said he doesn't intend to fail and will show him what music is.

(Y/N) left and went to his room after their heated conversation, but for some reason, I wasn't fully convinced if, Mr. (L/N) was serious about coming to attend the event. 

(Mrs. L/N): You know, it reminds me of the time when you were like that when we were young. You were pretty well known back in the days.

(Mr. L/N): That was then, this is now. Besides, you know I left since all they cared about was results.

(Mrs. L/N): I know, but maybe you shouldn't have said it's just a bunch of noise to, (Y/N). That was a little too harsh, even for you.

(Mr. L/N): Yeah, I guess you're right...

Was he a part of something? What was that all about? I wanted to hear more about what they were talking about until suddenly, Shizuka stepped on a random twig and we were spotted the moment they turned around and heard the noise.

(Shizuka): Oops.

(Taiko): Umm, hey?

....

We were now inside the house with Mr. (L/N) glaring at us.

(Mr. L/N): If you're gonna eavesdrop, at least try not getting yourselves caught.

Shizuka and I apologized.

(Mrs. L/N): When did you two get here? How much did you hear?

(Shizuka): Well...

(Taiko): When you started arguing with, (Y/N).

(Mr. L/N): I see.

(Taiko): Mr. (L/N), I'm not fully convinced that you'll attend the event.

(Shizuka): Taiko.

(Mr. L/N): ...

(Taiko): After what we heard from what you said to, (Y/N), you're not actually going go are you?

(Shizuka): Taiko, calm down.

(Taiko): As, (Y/N) already said, he's serious about this and he wants you to come and listen to his performance when he sings up on stage. But if that isn't enough doesn't convince you, I'm gonna make you hear the songs I recorded for him.
