Chapter 14

The next weeks went by really slow since me and the boys decided that it was best to stay at home until the whole Jackson thing was over

I really missed seeing my kids at school ,talking to them and learning them new things but I knew that it wasn't safe anymore so I had to distance myself before me or any of the kids got hurt

I know that he is capable of hurting anyone who interacts with me

The guys always checked on me and made sure I was safe at all times and I was really relieved to have them by my side

Although most times I was home alone because they couldn't take away as many days as I did, they always called me or texted me to see how I was doing

Truth is I'm still scared but I'm not letting anyone see that and especially Jackson because I know he is the type of man that feed from women's fear and vulnerability

I remembered the whole incident after 4 days of the kitchen accident and I told the guys about his brother that works at the police but they said they are going to help me figure it out no matter what

Right at this moment though I was dealing with another... problem

Mother Nature decided to come a week early and of course the guys forgot to buy tampons and pads and I only had 2 left so I knew I had to go out by some because I usually have a heavy flow and I need them as fast as possible

So that's what I'm doing

After I used the toilet and got situated I put on some black pants and an oversized sweater with my vans and grabbed my bag and car keys

My ride to the store was fast and after I picked up the things I needed I got to my car to head home

I was listening to music and slightly humming to the music only two blocks away from the apartment when suddenly I felt a strong impact to my left side

My car almost flew to the other side and I felt pain on my left side and shoulder

When the car stopped sliding across the street I looked at my left to see the silver car that hit me speed away without seeing the person that did it

"Great, now that's just great" I said while groaning lightly from the uncomfortable pain

"Fuck!"I screamed feeling my breathing grow faster

"Okay okay everything's fine I'm just going to call the police" I said taking some deep breaths

I tried opening my door but it was really stuck so I climbed from the drivers seat to the passengers seat groaning evey time I moved

After I got out of the car I saw a lady run up to me in panic

"Oh my god miss are you okay?What happend? I called the police and an ambulance will be here soon" she said looking at me

"I'm okay you didn't have to stop thank you"I said genuinely thanking her since apparently nobody else stopped

"Did you see who did it?" I asked her after sitting down because of the pain on my shoulder and side

"No unfortunately I only saw your car once she drove away but it think it was a woman driving" she said and I nodded

"Do you need me to call someone?" She asked me and I shook my head

"No it's okay don't worry" I said as I was planning a way not to get into the ambulance

"They're here" she said and I looked at my left to see a police car and an ambulance

I stood up as they came closer to me

"Hello miss are you okay?" The policeman asked me seeming extremely worried about me

"Yes I'm fine I just don't know what I have to do from here"I said slightly smiling to him

"Don't worry since the other driver is not here we are going to get your car and ask you some questions about the accident" he said and continued

"Do you feel okay answering some questions really fast?" He asked me and I nodded

"Yes anything even though I don't really know who it was because she left as soon as she hit me" I said and looked at me from he papers he was writing the information

"She?"he asked and I nodded as I looked at the lady that helped me

"Yes the lady told me that she thinks she saw a woman driving the car" I said and he nodded

"Okay did you see what type of car she was driving?" He asked me

"It was a silver one not to big and it looked a little bit old but other than that I didn't see anything else" I said and he nodded

"Okay do you have a car insurance?" He asked me scraping down things

"Yes" I said and he noted that

"Okay I don't think there is anything else you can do for now, please let the medics look at you and I will call you when I have news about the whole situation" he said smiling at me

"Thank you so much have a nice day" I said

"You too take care" he said and left

"Excuse me miss we need to do a check up and move you to the hospital" one of the medics said as he approached me

"Oh no there's no need for that I'm okay" I said trying to avoid the hospital trip

"Let us do a quick check up and if there are no major injuries we can let you go otherwise we'll need to take you to the hospital" the medic said and I nodded

I'll just pretend everything is fine

"Okay sit here" the medic said directing to the gurney

"Any big pains?" He asked and I shook my head

"Okay" he said and started taking my pulse

He checked my heart and moved to my lungs

"Take some deep breaths" he said but as soon as I started taking deep breaths I felt a shooting pain on my left side

"Okay I need you to lay down to check your ribs cause they might be broken" he said slightly pushing my shoulders back

He lifted my shirt and as soon as he touched them I flinched and touched his hands

"I need to check your ribs miss" he said trying to do so but I stopped him

"No no I can't it hurts too much" I said and he looked at me

"Hospital it is then" he said and I groaned as he strapped me down

I had fractured ribs before but this time it was way worse plus I couldn't move my shoulder so I guess my left side was way worse in general

"What hospital are we going to?" I asked as I remembered the guys

They are going to be pissed

"John Hopkins Hospital" he said and I sighed
