You were that piece.
That I had been dying to sing.
That complex composition.
With intricate key changes.
Multiple time signatures.
That one piece that would stretch my vocal range.
The piece that would make my voice struggle trying to reach the lows.
Scream the highs.
That one piece that would make me get out a metronome every five measures.
Those complicated melismas I'd have to work on for weeks.
But.
I was so down for the challenge.
I was ready to learn the whole piece.
Practice every key change.
Master every time signature.
Because.
Even with all the difficult aspect of you.
Musically, it all made sense.
That's how I want to love.
I loved every measure.
I wanted strings, winds and brass.
A song that I could blast.
Because musically.
Everything made sense.
I love you musically.
Because everything made sense.
Once your sheet music was brought to my music stand.
