"We did it. We did it, man!"
Vince screams with joy as the team opens the tail lift of the captured truck and takes a look at the contents of the vehicle.
Late at night, in the middle of the Palmdale desert, Letty, Dom, Vince, Leon and Jesse ambushed a truck loaded with valuable technical goods.
"Look at this!"
Vince continues to cheer.
"Come on, let's not waste any time."
Dom demands and the friends start unloading.
The stolen goods are loaded into 2 white vans driven by Jesse and Leon. Dom, Vince and Letty leave with their black Honda Civics. The vehicles were bought by Leon for the raid.
The stolen goods are shipped to his garage while Letty, Dom and Vince take care of hiding the Honda's.
The goods are sold to Carlos, a black market dealer the next morning.
"Nice stuff. I think we'll get into business. I'll give you 110,000 for it."
"That stuff is worth a lot more. 150,000." Dom demands.
"130,000. This is my last offer, muchacho."
Dom knows that he has to get rid of the stolen goods and that he doesn't have much room for negotiation. But it never hurts to at least try to get a little more money out of it.
"Alright."
The two men shake hands.
"Get the money."
Carlos asks his men and one of them brings a black sports bag.
After Dom has received the bag, he passes it on to Leon, who checks the money.
Meanwhile, Carlos' men start unloading the two vans.
"Hey, here is my number. Call when you have new loadings."
Dom nods and drives off to the garage with Leon and Jesse.
"$130,000?! Oh my god...Wow!"
"Awesome, dude!"
Mia and Jesse shout with joy.
"How much does that make for everyone?"
Vince asks and opens a water bottle.
"26,000."
Jesse replies.
The friends laugh and Leon starts dividing the money.
"You can keep the thousand."
Letty walks over to Dom and pushes bills into his hand.
"Yeah, here brother. Leon and shortly afterwards Vince and Jesse give Dom their 3,000 dollars.
"You can pay half of the debt now with that."
Vince explains and pats Dom on the shoulder.
"Thanks guys, really. For everything." Dom shows his appreciation.
"So what are you going to do with your money?"
Leon asks.
"Don't know. Maybe getting a new car." Letty replies.
"I'm gonna give the Jetta a few upgrades. New NOS, rims, seats you know."
"Ain't that your Dad's car? Dude, why don't you just buy your own?"
Leon laughs.
"Cuz his ass ain't gonna leave jail for the next 8 years."
"Okay, back to work."
Dom ask with a grin.
"Any plans for tonight?"
Dom asks when the friends finally call it a day.
"We could throw a house party?"
"Sounds good, bro."
Leon comments on Vince's suggestion.
Dom agrees and the boys drive off to get snacks and drinks.
Some hours later, Leon dances with a blonde while Vince talks with some guests on the couch.
Jesse is playing video games and Dom enjoys the attention of a long-haired Asian girl.
She sits down on his lap and it doesn't take long for the two of them to disappear upstairs.
"Hey...You like this top? Bought it last week. I really like the cut."
Mia asks Letty when she walks into her bedroom and sits down on her bed.
"Or maybe the blouse?...Let?"
Letty just mumbles a quiet "Yes."
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"Come on. Tell me."
"I saw Dom."
She sighs.
"Really? Me too! I mean, he lives here."
Letty lets out another sigh, which sounds more annoyed this time.
"With a girl...in his room...in his bed."
"Eww. I didn't wanna hear that."
"Yeah and I didn't wanna see that."
"You love him, don't you?"
Letty is silent and looks thoughtfully into the room.
"You have to tell him, Let."
"Are you out of your mind?!"
She replies angrily. "But he likes you too."
"Yes, as a co-worker and friend. I'll always be the little Letty next door for him."
"What makes you so sure?"
"I just know it, okay? Can we change the subject, please. Thanks."
Before Mia can continue, there is a knock on the door.
"Where are you? You know the party is downstairs, right?"
"Coming."
Letty replies and follows Vince downstairs.
