Loud trance music, colorful neon lights, and smoke effects welcomed me as I walked gracefully across the busy atmosphere. Mostly everyone is drunk or tipsy, with a few people in clusters sitting around either making out, dancing somewhere, drinking, or just talking.

Gusto kong ngumiwi pero nasanay na rin ako. This isn't new for me. I have long embraced my new life.

"Hey," bati sa akin ng isang lalaki na hindi ko kakilala.

I greeted back and smirked. I was greeted more by a few people before I finally reached our reserved lounge.

"Mm. Finally, Axe is here!" Ibinaba agad ni Louisiana ang iniinom at umusod para mabigyan ako ng espasyo.

"Hey, how are you guys doin'? Likin' the party?" Nginisihan ko sila bago bumeso kay Lou.

"Not until you came." Ethan grinned at me before giving me a shot.

I smiled and reluctantly took the cocktail drink and sipped on it.

"You're not trying to hit on me, are you?" panunuya ko matapos ibaba ang iniinom.

"Well, I've been tryin' but maybe I wasn't really born lucky." He shrugged his shoulders cooly.

I only grinned at that.

"How about we drink our ass off tonight and get wasted?" Ngumisi si Louisiana sa akin sabay abot ng long island.

Ngumuso ako bago tanggapin ang baso. Tinanggap ko pero hindi ko muna ininuman. I know how would that drink crawls me to insanity. The last time I drank hard was a total disaster. Imbes na tulungan ako, tinawanan pa nila ako. Though, I find it so fun. But nothing is funnier than to be embarrassed.

Louisiana groaned at me.

"Bottoms up Axe, c'mon!"

"Hell no, are you freakin' kiddin' me?!" protesta ko agad.

"Hey girls, chill..." si West ang nagsalita.

"Got a problem, Lou?" tanong naman ni Kelby.

Sinulyapan ko rin si Louisiana. She doesn't seem like the usual. She's not herself tonight.

"Carter dumped me like hell. I can't believe it." Umirap siya at dere-deretsong uminom.

"What an ass," Kelby commented.

"I know right. That's why I wanna drink and have fun tonight. I wanna get wasted. And you girls know what I mean." The blonde-haired girl smirked mischievously.

Hindi na ako umimik at tahimik na lang na uminom. I know what she's thinking. When she says "fun" it means casual sex with a random guy.

"Hey Axe, you drink too proper. C'mon, don't be so stiffed. Loosen up, girl." Siniko niya 'ko.

I rolled my eyes.

"Here, drink it for me please!" Inabot niya uli sa akin ang long island.

"I think you need it more than anyone in this lounge." tamad ko syang binalingan.

Nagusot agad ang mukha niya.

"But I need a company! C'mon, Axe!"

"I don't plan on staying long, Lou." Sumimsim ako sa iniinom.

"But for your bestie, you'll stay a little longer right?" Humilig siya sa balikat ko.

I heaved a sigh and took the glass. I feel bad for her. Somehow, I understand her. Nothing is more heartbreaking than being brokenhearted. And alcohol would be the least viable option and definitely the best way to temporarily erase the sad memories.
