I sat on the white couch in an extremely modern home that had windows in every possible place. 7 vampire all sat across from me as I shifted uncomfortably.

"So what exactly are you, sweetheart?" I looked up to a brunette woman.

She was extremely beautiful with a type of beauty found in fairytales. Her brown hair was set in billows of caramel-brown hair and she had a warm and compassionate look. She had a heart-shaped face with soft features such as delicate eyebrows and golden eyes framed by long and dark lashes. She had a small and slender figure that was less angular and more rounded than the other females in her family, but she was still just as beautiful.

"My mothers was a Quileute shape-shifter well my father is a vampire from the Black Plague pandemic in the 1340's." Everyone continued to stare and I couldn't tell if they believed me or not.

"Okay, so you're a half-breed?" I slowly nodded at the blond male who I'd come to know as Carlisle Cullen, the leader of the coven.

"Yes, I've been living with the Quileute's for 7 months now."

"How old are you?" I turned to the pixie girl as she almost looked as though she was struggling to keep calm.

"I'm 14." The lights in the house flickered for a moment as lightning stuck outside before I realized it was my doing.

"Sorry, things like that happen when I'm nervous."

"So you have an ability?" It turned to the brunet with facial features that could be described as perfect and angular.

He had high cheekbones, a strong jawline, perfect eyebrows, a straight nose and full lips. He stood at 6'2", and had a thin and lanky but muscular body. His untidy hair was an unusual bronze shade and his eyes were the same golden hue as the rest of his family.

"Yes, I can influence storms and the flow electricity." I showed them my ability by hovering one of my hands over the other and bouncing a stream of electricity back and forth between my palm.

"That's odd, usually vampires possess abilities they had as humans before being amplified after turning." I looked towards Carlisle as he seemed to study me from a distance.

"Well, before I manifested my ability my dad told me that I was always able to tell when a lightning storm was coming, if that counts for anything."

"What other abilities do you possess?" I turned but the "perfect" brunet before looking down at my hands as I picked at the skin around my fingers.

"Well I can run extremely fast, I can lift extreme amounts of weight, I have better hearing and sight, and whenever I'm in the sun I turn into a disco ball. I'm also always cold even though everyone says I'm a space heater, but I don't think that counts, and there's the obvious shape-shifting part."

"What do you eat?" Esme's voice came off as soft as she spoke to me.

"I can live off human food, but when I drink blood I'm stronger and just overall healthier and less tired."

"Have you ever been attracted to the smell of human blood?" I shook my head and explained I was raised vegan and never had a taste of human blood so I was never attracted or bothered by it.

"How do you feel about joining our coven?" I looked to Carlisle as he smiled at me in a fatherly way.

"Do I have to leave the Quileute's?" He chuckled as he shook his head.

"No, you can continue to live there and be part of their pack. By joining the coven you would have animal blood to your disposal and you'd be part of our family. You would also have the 7 of us to ask and talk about all things vampire related that you may not understand." I nodded and reached my hand across the glass table that separated us.

Carlisle chuckled and reached over to shake my hand.

"Sorry, was that not appropriate? My dad does that when he's talking over a business deal it felt like one of those." Carlisle shook his head and I was immediately pulled up from the couch by Alice.

"I'm sorry but I can't stay, I have to get that deer back home so we can eat and I'm sure Sarah's ripping her hair out by now." I thanked everyone before I left I stripped down from the close that were lent to me and folded them nicely beside their door.

I began running towards the deer I left behind before shifting mid-run. When I got back home with the deer I was lectured heavily by Sarah before I explained what had happened in the 3 hours I was gone.
