I looked up at the dark clouds above the field as the Cullens got ready for our game of baseball.

"Coming in from the east, it's not going to be a big one but I can work with it." I pulled my cap back on and caught the ball that was thrown at me.

"So you're not going to play fetch with us?" Emmett gave me a teasing pout as I whipped the ball back at him.

"Here comes the blood bag." I turned around with a smile as Edward pulled in with Bella in the Jeep.

"Glad you're here. We need an umpire." Esme lead Bella to the home plate by her arm as I continued to watch the clouds.

"She thinks we cheat."

"You guys definitely cheat, Emmett." I smirked over my shoulder as everyone got into position.

"We ready?" Everyone nodded and I began my magic.

I watched as the clouds got darker within seconds before a large bolt of lightning came down with thunder following close behind. Rosalie was first up to bat and I timed another roll of thunder as the ball made contact with the metal bat.

"Okay, now I see why you need the thunder." I turned to Bella as the ball flew into the forest.

"That's got to be a home run, right?"

"Edward's very fast." Rosalie ran through the bases quickly before sliding to home base.

"You're out." Emmett cheered as Rosalie stood up well glaring at Bella who made the call before taking a stand beside me as I continued to cause thunder and lightning.

Carlisle was up next and I knew I would have to cause a loud bang to cover up his batting. I rolled my shoulders as I stretched my arms out and waited for the perfect timing to let down multiple strikes of lighting. Emmett and Edward both jumped to catch the ball before they collided letting Carlisle hit a home run.

"Watch me." Jaspers hand rubbed against my waist as he walked past me and whispered in my ear.

"And make sure to give me a good bang, darling." I nodded as I turned around to watch him like he said.

He did a little trick with his bat, that I honestly found hotter than it should've been, before getting ready to bat.

"Ready, darling?" I nodded and created a large thunderclap as he hit the ball.

Emmett caught it as he climbed a tree and threw it back causing Jasper to be out.

"Shouldn't have been so confident there, Sir." I smirked at Jasper as he squished my cheeks in his hand.

"Don't get sassy with me." He smirked and leaned down and kissed me causing me to miss Rosalie batting and not letting me cover it up under thunder.

"Stop!" Jasper and I turned around as Alice yelled out.

Everyone ran over to Bella to try and mask her smell as long as we could. It was too late for Edward to get Bella out of here so we pulled Bella's hair down and Edward wrapped his arm over her shoulders.

"Like that'll help. I could smell her from across the field." Three vampires walked out of the forest as we lined up in front of Bella.

The thunder and lightning continued to go on naturally without my help as I stood beside Jasper and held his hand tightly.

"I believe this belongs to you." The dark skinned vampire, who introduced himself as Laurent, threw the ball back to Carlisle who caught it with little effort.

"And this is Victoria... and James." The two vampire on either side of him watched us carefully with their red eyes.

"I'm Carlisle, and this is my family. I'm afraid your hunting activities have caused something if a mess for us."

"Our apologies. We didn't realize the territory had been claimed."

"Yes, well, we maintain a permanent residence nearby."

"Well, we won't be a problem anymore. We were just passing through." Jasper tried to push me behind him but I stood my ground as my own protectiveness came through.

"The humans were tracking us, but we lead them east. You should be safe." The ginger, Victoria, seemed to have a permanent smirk.

"So, could you use three more players? Oh, come on. Just one game." We all looked over at Carlisle.

"Sure. Why not? A few of us were leaving. You could take their place. We'll bat first." Carlisle threw the ball and the ginger caught it.

"I'm the one with a wicked curveball."

"Well, I think we can handle that. Looks like you'll have to cause quite a bit of noise today, darling." I nodded at Jasper as I gave a large fake smile.

"Only if you can hit her curveball." I smirked at Jasper trying to play along.

"You brought a snack, and a mutt." I stood in front of Bella as everyone else stood in front of us defensively.

"The girl is with us. I think it best if you leave."

"I can see the game is over. We'll go now. James." The three ran away as Carlisle instructed Edward to get Bella out of here.

"You okay?" I snapped out of my thoughts as I nodded at Jasper.

"Yeah, I'm fine. The tracker isn't after me, we need to worry about Bella." I climbed onto Jaspers back as we prepared to run back.
