Monday January 18, 2005 (Afternoon)

I stood up from my seat in Biology as I listened to Alice talk about prom. She's been trying to convince me to go but I kept brushing it off. I was never a dancer nor someone who liked social events. I told her the only why I'd go is if I had a date.

"Come on, Alexandra, I'm sure someone wants to go to prom with you." I threw my bag over my shoulder and left the room as Alice walked close behind me.

"Alice, no one wants to go with me, it's life and I've excepted it." I held the door to the parking lot open for her and got into Rosalie's bright red Mercedes convertible.

"She still bugging you about prom?" I nodded as I dropped my bag beside me in the back seat.

"Yep, she's convinced herself someone wants to go with me."

"I've seen it, and you looked beautiful." I tossed my head back causing my collar length curls to drop back off my forehead.

"I'll strike you deal, Alice, if you can find me a dress that I fall in love with, without using your visions, and both you and Rosalie attend, then I'll agree to go." Alice visibly got excited as Rosalie turned around to face me with a smirk knowing that nothing would get her to miss out on her and Emmett annual date night.

"Deal!" Rosalie started up her car and music immediately began playing.

I let my eyes drift over to Jasper as he sat in the drivers seat of the Jeep and started it up. I immediately began feeling happy and I didn't know if it was him or if it was his gift. Emmett popped out of the roof with a smirk as he caught me staring at Jasper. I gave him a growl that was audible over Rosalies music. He chuckled before almost falling off the roof when Jasper stepped hard on the gas as he backed out of the parking spot.

I hummed along to whatever song was playing even if I didn't know it. As we drove too fast for the speed limit my curls got knotted and I knew they would we a pain to get out. I looked over my shoulder to see the pack running in the forest on the Quileute's side of the boundary line. I waved to them even if I knew they were on the hunt and not paying any attention to me. I leaned back with my eyes closed till we pulled into the Cullens driveway behind Emmett's Jeep.

"You need a ride tomorrow?" I shook my head at Alice as I grabbed my bag and jumped out.

"No, my bike should be back from the shop. If not, I'll let you know." I smiled as I made my way into the forest.

The Cullens always offered me a ride to and from school since everyone else went to the school on the Rez. My dad and I made the decision together that I'd go to Forks high school. I'd be too uncomfortable attending the Rez school since I look so out of place. As I walked through the forest towards the boundary I met up with Sam and the pack. The pack consisted of Sam Uley (alpha), Jared Cameron (beta), Paul Lahote (third-in-command), Bradley Fuller, and a few others that I hadn't personally met yet.

I walked with the pack before getting extremely tired well trying to keep up with Alice between classes. Sam was nice enough to let me, his dearest cousin, hitch a ride on his back till we'd arrive back at the forest line where everyone would have to shift back. Once that happened he let me get a piggyback. Sam took me back to the Blacks, where I'd been staying for the last 3-4 years. Of course Billy thought something happened but I just explained I missed out on some much needed sleep trying to complete an essay.
