Tuesday, March 8, 2005 (Black house)

I stood against the counter in the kitchen as Bella talked through my phone. She was going on about Edward saving her from thugs as well as how he said he can read minds.

"He's freezing cold, and he wouldn't eat well we were at a restaurant, he said be was on a special diet."

"Bella, he may be like me and is just always cold, and he explained why he wasn't eating."

"I know this is going to sound crazy but when you put the fact that he's extremely fast, he's pale and freezing cold, he never eats or drinks anything, he's never in the sunlight, and his eyes change colour. I think he's a vampire, Alex."

My eyes widened and I had to think of an excuse to hang up.

"Bella, you sound insane, call me back when you're logical." I hung up the phone and grabbed my bag.

Sam was taking me to the hospital to get my stitches removed before he would drop me off at school. I got into the truck and leaned back into the seat.

"What's wrong?" I turned to Sam before hitting the radio on.

"Bella's finally connecting the dots. She's starting to connect that Edward's a vampire." I ran my hand through my hair before turning the radio up.

The appointment was short and Sam didn't force me to go to school that day and instead took me out on patrol. It took me a while to get back into the rhythm of thing but I got the hang of it. I did have a few missed calls from the Cullens since I'm usually always at school unless the suns out, but even then I'm at their place. Now that I thought about it I really relayed on the Cullens even though I had a pack to take care of me. As I listened to my voicemails I could tell they were getting progressively more worried.

Even Rosalie's calls sounded like she was in distress. When I called each of them back I managed to get a lecture from each of them, even Emmett lectured me which was out character for him.

"Hey, Jake." I walked into the garage to see Jacob with his hair up and his face covered in grease.

"What can I do for you, Alex?" I sat down on the stood beside him as he worked on an old dirt bike that I bought as a birthday gift for him.

"Nothing, just feel like we haven't hung out enough. You need any help?" He smiled at me as I rolled the sleeves of my plaid ups

"Sure." He began pointing out things he needed help with and we got to work.

The bike wouldn't be done today or anytime soon, but it was nice to finally hang out with Jacob again. When it turned around 5 Jacob and I went in so I could begin working on dinner. Nothing fancy, just meatloaf, peas, corn, and mashed potatoes.
