Kaleb's pov

"Where's MG, Lizzie and Josie?" Jed asked beside me.

It was lunch and we were all sitting in the grass on the lawn, talking about nothing important. Jed was leaning on a tree trunk and I was sitting next to him, Hope and Landon were sitting across from us and together the four of us made up a semi-circle.

"I think Lizzie and Josie are with Rick calling their mum but I don't know." Hope answered and I added on to it.

"Yeah and MG might be inside, I haven't really heard from him today."

"It almost seems like he's avoiding us," Landon wondered out loud and Hope laughed a little under her breath.

"He's definitely avoiding someone but not all of us," she said vaguely and we all turned to her. She clearly knew something we didn't. "Doesn't matter, forget I said anything." she said, brushing the subject aside. I was about to continue asking her about it when I saw an expensive looking black car turn down the driveway.

"Who do you think that is?" I asked, pointing at the car as it stopped just outside the gate.

Hope and Landon turned around to see what I was pointing at and when they turned back they seemed to know exactly who it was.

"Shit," Hope muttered under her breath.

"What?" Jed asked, "Who is it?"

"My aunt and brother," she sighed, standing up.

I was shocked.

"What?" Jed asked, "And let me guess, you just forgot to mention they were coming." We all knew Hope had a brother but she never really mentioned her family so we didn't actually know anything about him other than the fact that his name was Marcel and her dad had adopted him a couple of centuries ago. We didn't know much about her Aunt Freya either but I had a feeling it was her other aunt that was waiting in our driveway.

"Bro, you knew the Mikaelsons were coming down and you didn't tell me?" I asked. "Not cool man, they're legends. I'd love to learn some of their old tricks." I'd always wondered if I'd ever meet Hope's family at graduation or something, it'd be so awesome, according to all the stories they kicked ass back in the day.

She just ignored me.

"Do you want me to come with you?" Landon asked, looking up at his girlfriend but she shook her head.

"No, just wait here." She said before turning to Jed and I. "All of you."

Hope's pov

I walked across the field to the gate. Auntie Bex and Marcel stepped out of the car when I got there and smiled at me. I haven't seen them since their wedding almost two years ago.

"Hey," I said, walking the last few steps to the still closed gate.

"Hey Baby," Bex said, she looked so happy.

"Hey Kiddo," Marcel said, looking just as excited to see me.

"I see you made some friends," Bex said, nodding at the boys who were waving from across the field. I rolled my eyes and laughed at them at the same time.

"Yeah," I laughed, turning back to them.

"Well, are you gonna make us jump the fence or what?" Marcel asked and stepped back slightly.

"De sara portus," I muttered and the gate swung open. As soon as it was open I was pulled into a strong hug by Bex and Marcel laughed. I would've been laughing too if she weren't squeezing me so hard. As soon as Bex let go of me Marcel was hugging me just as tight.

"I can't believe you're almost eighteen," Bex said. "Seems like just yesterday you were five months old and I was pushing you on park swings,"

"Or when you were seven and sneaking down to visit your dad's prisoners in the basement." Marcel added. I laughed, remembering the first time I talked to him, in the dungeon below the courtyard in the New Orleans house.

"Should we go inside?" Bex asked and I hesitated.

"Yeah, but you should know that I didn't exactly tell Rick you were coming." I answered guiltily and Bex rolled her eyes at me.

"That's your headmaster, right?" Marcel asked, "I've only met him once, eleven years ago I think,"

"Trust me, you're not missing out on much. He's not exactly a fan of our family," Bex said to Marcel and I glared at her.

"Don't start," I warned.

I turned back to their car and did a transportation spell to move it to the garage, I figured Bex would want to stop by and be introduced to the guys.

The three of us walked across the field to the boys. I could feel the other students as their eyes followed us, knowing that it was Rebekah Mikaelson that just walked onto campus - some of them had probably even heard of Marcel Gerard if they'd studied New Orleans history.

When we reached the guys they all smiled at us. I could tell Jed was trying so hard to be nice and not an asshole, Kaleb was trying not to run up and ask for an autograph of some shit and Landon looked half happy to see me with my family and half terrified of them, mainly Marcel. Can't blame him.

"Um... guys this is Jed, the alpha," I started and Jed smiled up at them nicely.

"Sup," he said.

"Hi," they added back in unison.

"This is Kaleb, he's a vampire," Kaleb jumped up and shook their hands excitedly in a way that anyone would find amusing and they laughed nicely, I was so glad they were playing nice.

"And this is Landon," Landon said hi and stood up to shake their hands too but not nearly as excitedly as Kaleb, which I was glad about as well. Marcel seemed clueless but Auntie Bex definitely knew I was hiding something, I think she had a theory what too considering the way she smiled at Landon when she shook his hand. It wasn't a 'nice to meet you' smile like with Kaleb and Jed, this was more of a 'I know what you're hiding smile' and it was slightly scary but not in a 'I'm going to kill you way' which is the usual scary Mikaelson smile. I'd tell her today, just not right now.

I turned back to the boys. "Guys, this is my Aunt Rebekah and my brother Marcel,"

"Is this all of your friends?" Marcel asked and I shook my head.

"No, the other three are inside, come on," I answered and the six of us began walking into the main building.
