It was finally Saturday! Allah knows how long I've been waiting for this weekend! Usually the week goes by fast, but something about this week was off. Everything Second felt like an hour.

I got out of bed and quickly went to the bathroom to make wudu and pray duha . It was sunnah, but if I didn't pray it my day would just feel incomplete. After praying I rushed downstairs still in my sweats and made my self chocolate chip pancakes. It was hard at first since I could not my right hand, but I didn't care I loved mr chocolate chip pancakes.

As I started digging in my plate I heard foot steps. Mama. She still didn't see my hand I was so sneaky about it yesterday I just went to sleep really early so my family wouldn't see it. I got out of my chair and quickly placed a kitchen towel on my right hand.

"Sabah el Khair mama", I said with a wide smile.
"Sabah el noor lulu", she replied as she walked to the refrigerator.

As she opened the fridge mama accidentally hit a glass of water causing it to fall on the floor.

"Ya Allah, lulu give me the towel with you", she ordered.

"Um mama here let me get you another", I replied fearing she would see my hand.

"No Layaan now", she became irritated.

"Mama it will be fast, I promise", I said as I made my way to the kitchen closet.

Mama quickly grabbed the kitchen towel from my right hand making me moan in pain. Ouch.

"Layaan what's this?!", she asked with worry.

This was bound to happen, I mean how could I keep a bandaged hand hidden.

"Umm mama it's no big deal you know how I box well I was doing it without boxing gloves yesterday and um this happened. Don't worry about it a friends wrapped it for me", I lied.

"Oh habibti are you okay, next time something like this happens you have to tell me. If you don't I'll be upset with you", she stated.

Oh Allah forgive me for lying but if I tell the truth all hell will break loose.

"I will mama", I said while I placed a kiss on her cheek.

I had absolutely nothing to do so I decided to go to the mall. It was Saturday and all I wanted to do was do something to free my mind. I laced on my bed and decided to call Dina to see if she wanted to come with me.

"Hello", Dina said in her tired morning voice.

But of course, it is still noon she's probably still in bed.

"Listen DuDu im taking you out today, get yo butt out of bed and be ready in 30 minutes", I demanded.

I shut the phone not giving her a chance to say anything. I'm so evil.

I changed into some comfy jeans and a plain white TShirt. After making sure I looked presentable to be out in public I ran outside to my car.

Omar is such a sweetheart I could tell my car had been cleaned up, it was so shiny! Not only did he bring my car to my house after my incident, but he also cleaned it. Is he trying to make me fall for him.

As I got in my car I saw a note and a box in the passenger seat. I opened the note and began reading.

'So I brought your car back safe and sound, and yes I gave it a little wash I hope you don't mind. I hope you feel better Layaan. Oh and open the box a little birdy told me you love chocolate'

Your halal friend,
Omar ;)

I reached for the box that was covered by beautiful blue wrapping paper. It was a huge box of Ferrero Rocher. Yup that's it I'm in love with the guy. Nothing could possibly ruin this day for me. I got my car washed, and chocolate! Not any chocolate, Ferrero Rocher.

After 10 minutes of admiring the bite and gift Omar left me, I drove off to Dina's house.

As I pulled in her drive way I saw her waiting outside for me in her black abaya with her floral hijab. She made her way to my car and sat in the passenger seat.

"Aslamu Alaykum hayati", I said with a wide smile.
"Wa alaykum asslam love", Dina replied as she started playing with the radio.

"Dina you know I'm trying to stop listening to music", I said as I tried turning off the radio.

"Oh ya I forgot Layaan! Do you have like nasheed cd or something?", she questioned with guilt.

"Um yea look on the side in the door pocket thing", I answered her question.

"Ohhh Maher Zain, I love his nasheeds", she squealed.

Dina put in the cd and immediately began singing along.

"Mawlaya sali wa Salem daeman Abadan 'alaya habibi ka Khair...", we sang together.

"So why are we going to the mall? You hate shopping LuLu", she asked as she turned down the radio.

"Um, well see Dudu I'm kinda thinking about wearing hijab", I whispered under my breath.

"whaaaaat! Oh my Allah! I can't believe it Im so happy for you! You're gonna look so beautiful", she screamed as she tried hugging me as I driving.

"Whoa Dudu Im driving! I don't wanna die before I wear the hijab", I joked.

After 30 minutes we finally reached the mall. Ah. I hate the mall. I hate shopping. I don't know why I just feel like it's so unnecessary. Why can't people go in get what they need then walk out. Hopefully Dina will help me find some halal clothing for hijab, so I don't have to stay that long.

We walked in many stores and Alhamdullah were able to find a lot of maxi dresses and maxi skirts. These clothes should be enough. I'm finally gonna be halal, I can't wait until I wear hijab.

Now that we are done shopping it's time for food.

Omar POV

I just got done giving dawah at the mall. Alhamdullah a couple masjid brothers and I were able to break through ten heart today, in shaa Allah they become muslims.

As I made my way to the food court I noticed a girl who was short and long dark silky hair wearing a white Tshirt and jeans. Layaan. Her hair gave her away, I've never seen a girl with such long dark beautiful hair.

Should I go and say hi or just ignore the fact that I see her. What is wrong with me, every time I see her my heart flutters with joy. I'm not in love with her, I can't be I don't know her like that. To add to that its haram, I can't fall for her this way. Before I knew it I was standing right in front of her looking in her honey eyes that were green at the moment. I tried looking else where, but her eyes made me unable to move, or even speak.

Astaghfurrillah. After a few seconds I shifted my eyes to my shoes.

"Asslamu Alaykum Layaan so um how's your hand now? Do you feel better?", I asked still trying not to focus on her eyes.
" wa alykum asslam omar, yes ️Alhamdullah way better I can't thank you enough for yesterday, how you washed my car, the note, and the chocolate", I rambled.

"Don't thank me Layaan! I'd do anything to make sure you're happy"

Oh no. I did not just...oh god...what did I just say...okay...Allah please just take my soul how before I embarrass my eyes of even more.

I turned my gaze to her face and noticed she was fighting back a smile. Her cheeks became red, and her eyes were staring at the floor. Maybe she does like me, she blushed, doesn't that mean she likes me. What am I saying.

Athoobillahi min el shaytan arrajeem

I need to clear my head from all this.

"So how are you? Omar? Omar?", I heard Layaan say.

"Um yea sorry I just have a little headache, um well I need to go catch Asr prayer at the masjid, salaam", I said as I quickly headed for the mall exit.

Yup. I think I'm in love.
