Layaan POV

As Jake walked out of my room, I couldn't help but feel guilty. I mean I didn't do anything I was in love with Omar. We are getting married. He's everything.

Feeling the way I did I decided to call Omar. Chances are he was at the mall doing dawah, hopefully he can talk for 5 minutes. I picked up my phone and quickly dialed his number. I instantly began feeling my cheeks turning red as he answered.

"Wa alaykum asslam", I replied to his greeting.

"Layaan are you okay? Do you need anything?", he asked in his caring gentle voice.

"Um, well, Jake he came over to apologize for saying what he said at the hospital...but he keeps confessing his love. I want to make our engagement public, I don't want him thinking we have a future, because my heart belongs to you. I-I just feel so guilty.", I said letting out all my thoughts.

"Why is he so obsessed with you? This guy needs to seriously understand you're mine. Don't worry I'll take care of it". He replied, his voice harsh, yet so gentle.

"Im sorry, he's had a crush on me since forever, I don't want this to upset you", I replied feeling a bit of guilt.

"Babe no, I mean who could blame him...I went crazy for you. He just needs to know he needs to lay off. I'll come after im done with dawah in shaa Allah", he replied.

"Okay, in shaa Allah, asslamu alaykum", I said ending the phone call.

This boy knew how to get my heart racing, my palms sweaty, and my face turn absolutely red.

I wonder what he was going to do?

Omar POV

After a successful day of Dawah I decided to go to the masjid and pray duhur there. Everything seemed better after getting engaged to Layaan. I was raining hard and the sun was no where out, yet the day to me was sunny and beautiful. I headed to my car and began driving to the masjid.

I walked in right on the time of the Athan and took my place next to an old man who's beard reached his chest. The Salah began and we all averted our eyes to the floor. After wards I decided to pray the Sunnah. After Finishing I laid my back to the Wall and began making tasbeeh. I never really made tasbeeh but Layaan taught me it was a really good thing to do after salah. She said, the Prophet (saw) said he who says subhanAllah 33 times, ️️️️Alhamdulliah 33 times, and AllahuAkbar 34 times would get all there sins forgiven, minus major sins.

As I sat there making tasbeeh, the old man that prayed next to me sat beside me and began smiling. His face was filled with so much noor. Luckily I was on my 32nd allahu akbar, I soon as I finished I quickly averted my attention to him.

"Asslamu Alaykum", I greeted.

"Wa alaykum asslam ibny, I have a question to Ask you if you don't mind", he greeted back with a smile.

"Go ahead, I don't mind", I answered

"You're engaged aren't you?", he asked with a smile.

"I am, just 2 days ago actually. How did you know?", I asked, confused to how he knew.

"That glow in your face, the light is literally coming out of your face. That's the same look I had when I met my wife", he answered.

"I love her, she-she just makes everything brighter", I said smiling at the thought of Layaan.

"And if even is raining to you it's sunny outside, am I right?", he asked as he chuckled.

"That's right on point actually", I began laughing.

"Ibny let me tell you something. Enjoy every moment you get with her, in a halal way of course. Treat her the way you would treat your mother, love her, cherish her, you don't know when she might be gone", he said gently.

"By chance did you lose your wife? If you don't mind me asking", I asked.

"I did, she died five years ago. Today marks out 45 year anniversary.", he said with a slight smile.

"May Allah give her jannah, im so sorry", I said trying to comfort him.

"It's okay we will reunite in Jannah in shaa Allah, just remember to cherish your wife ibny", he advised. Him saying 'wife' made me blush. So this is how Layaan feels. She's always blushing.

"I will, thank you", I said as I got up to leave the masjid.

After hearing what the wise man said I stopped by the garden near the masjid and picked out a rose. Yea I know I shouldn't be picking the roses, but one time won't hurt right. I picked one that was blossoming quite beautifully. This one is for Layaan.

Since the masjid was near Layaans house I decided to stop by and give her the rose. Nayaan opened up the door with a smirk that reached her right ear.

"Oh Whatcha got there? Little some some for Layaan?!", she said in a mocking voice.

"Don't worry once you get engaged I'll tell your fiancé to get you a Bouquet of roses", I replied.

"Please do! With a diamond ring, you feel Bruh", she joked.

"Oh I feel! So is Layaan upstairs?", I asked.

"Mmm yea she's in her room praying Asr", Nayaan answered as she pointed upstairs.

"Thanks Nayaan, and remember I got you, you're family now", I ran upstairs as I left Nayaan smiling.

I walked towards Layaans room gently as I noticed her making tasbeeh. She gave me a warm smile and pointed t her bed telling me to sit as she finishes her tasbeeh. Instead I decided to sit Infront of her and laid the rose on her lap. Her cheeks turned red and smile grew wider. I them sat silently and began making tasbeeh with her. What's love if you can't worship your creator together.

After she finished she held the rose in her delicate hands and smiled even more.

"This is a rose from the garden near the masjid isn't?", she laughed.

"Yes, yes it is, I got some wise advice, you are worth every bit of time, and even tho we aren't married I want to let you know how much you mean to me. By Allah I will treat you the way you deserve to be treated, like a queen", I said as I stated into her eyes.

She automatically threw herself at me in a tight hug. Seconds later she pulled herself off, we really need to sign the nikkah contract asap.

"I love you. I mean I am literally in love with you", she whispered.

"Trust me, not as much as I am", I replied.
