uncle josh and aunt Layla left for the day to go visit family, but I knew it was to give Omar and I some privacy.

Omar and I decided to stay home for the day since we were going back to school tomorrow.

"Do you know any karate?" Omar asked with a smirk.

"Mm nope none, why?", I answered with confusion.

He began moving the couches to the side and faced me, "you need to learn how to defend yourself since that freak jake isn't leaving you alone".

"Okay! ready hit me! Give me your best shot", Omar says with determination.

I hesitate for a second as I try to understand how he wanted me to just start hitting him, "mm I'm not gonna do that".

"What?! no Layaan come on" he whined as he tugged on my shoulders.

"Fine, just a little I'm not going to put much effort", I Finally agree.

I stand a few inches back and gently hit Omar's ab. "Really. Layaan what was that! I'll be fine! I want you to learn how to defend yourself".

I nod hesitantly and try again, this time I jumped on Omar putting him in a headlock. His tall figure made it hard to keep him in the head lock so I used the couch as support to keep me leveled to his head.

Omar then throws me on the couch, "not bad, not bad, but next time try to control where my hands are because I can easily throw you off".

Immediately after he explains I resume and put him in a head lock this time locking his arms with my legs.

"You learn fast don't you" Omar says as he tries to throw me off him.

"Yes, yes I do" I replied as he Finally gets out of my grip throwing me to the ground gently.

"Nope I'm going to win" I say as I intertwine out legs together, making it hard for him to get up. He then grabs me from my waist and throws me into the couch with his body over mine, "Sorry habibti not today".

After a long day Omar and I decided to sleep early since the past week we haven't gotten any.

"You ready" Omar asks as he brushes his teeth.

"Yea, it's just weird going back to school with a minor leg injury and hijab" I reply with a bit of worry.
Alhamdullah my leg injury was basically gone, but sometimes out of no where it would start aching. My only worry was my hijab. Everyone seen me with my hair, I was non for my dark long hair. How would they react?

"You're going to be fine, I promise" he says as he holds onto my waist giving me support to give him a peck on the lips.

*******************

Feeling as anxious as I did I couldn't get enough sleep. I finally heard the sound of the athan and decided to make wuudu and wake Omar up.

"Omar, wake up it's fair time"I say gently and quietly.

No response. I start to shake him. No response. I wet my hands and sprinkle water in his face. No response.

This guy! I noticed Omar's lips a bit pouted. Mmm just like our first fajir together.

I climbed the bed and sat to Omar's side. I gave him a peck on the lips, the left cheek, right cheek, forehead, and finally the nose.

I sit back up and stared Omar down until he got up, but he didn't. Within seconds Omar grabs my head to him and gives me a kiss on my forehead.

He immediately got up and rushed to the bathroom.

Usually after praying fajir we would do tasbeeh and dua then go back to sleep, but since it was a school day we decided to not go back to bed so we don't get lazy.

I look in my closet and decide to wear a blue floral long sleeve dress with a blue hijab and white sandals. Omar on the other hand just wore a black tee and jeans with his lebrons.

As Omar and I quickly go to the kitchen I notice uncle josh up. Right he's a teacher. This was weird. My "father in law" was a teacher at my school and I occasionally had him as a sub.

"Asslamu Alykun", uncle josh says as he sipped his coffee.

"Wa Alykun asslam" Omar and I say in unison.

****************************************

Omar and I enter the school from the front entrance together, uncle josh on the other hand entered from the teacher entrance. People at school didn't know he was Omar's uncle and especially not that he was kinda my father in law.

As the first bell rang Omar and I sneaked a peak on the lips and went out separate ways. Oh how I hated the fact that we had no classes together.

As I entered my classes everyone's eyes shifted to my direction. They began whispering and I knew exactly what it was about. How after two weeks I was in hijab.

"She had beautiful hair why did she cover it"
"She probably lost some hair"
"Why is she wearing that"

I ignored the whispers and sat at my desk. I didn't really care if they don't like it it's their problem.

**********************************

After the long classes it was finally time for lunch. Time to see Dina! I haven't seen her since my wedding.

"Ahhh Dina! I missed you! You need to visit me!" I say as I choke her to death as I attempted to give her a tight hug.

"You're married now! And you live in a teachers house! I'm not visiting! You visit me! What you got caught up in Omar and forgot me" she says with a bit of sadness.

"Dina! You know it's not like that! But it's a bit hard you know living with his uncle and all! But I promise the first few days are done! I have all the time in the world for you now".

We find an empty table in the cafeteria and Dina starts giving me a smirk, "so how is the marriage life! How are you and omar!"

My cheeks turn red as I thought of Omar, "amazing! Omar he's just so Ahhh! Dina! He's something else".

Before I could continue I noticed Omar walking towards me. What? He doesn't have lunch now.

"How's my girl", Omar says as he is about to give me a kiss but remembers we are in public so he just awkwardly sat beside me.

"You don't have lunch? Why are you here? I ask a bit confused.

"Well Layaan it's nice to see you too", he laughs at my question.

"Well see I asked the teacher to use the restroom. So that's what she thinks I'm doing. It's not like I lied I mean I did go to the bathroom I'm just taking the long way back to class", he says with a smirk.

***********

From that day on at 11:00 exactly Omar and I would meet In front of the bathrooms and walk around the school together. Thankfully our teaches didn't ask why it was a specific time every day. They didn't care because we were seniors.
