Thank you for waiting many long hours on me.
You are gentle but dislike bending the knee.
Gleeful conversations fill my memory.
Wish I could polish moments with emery.
Our exact words have now exited my mind.
But the fondness I once felt was left behind.
That sweet affection stays with me all the time.
When at work I would text you during lunchtime.
At the day's end, you would be outside the door.
I know I can count on you forevermore.
You are gentle but dislike bending the knee.
Thank you for waiting many long hours on me.
