After meeting eyes in that strange room, the two of us became friends.
Sometimes that place was dark, but you'd light it up using a warm lens.
Our conversations' playfulness were always stimulating.
We continued meeting and spoke about what was fascinating.
There was a day I was down, and we went to an online whiteboard.
Nobody had a single clue I was sad, so what was drawn had me floored.
Despite the discord around us, you drew a giant happy face.
Slipping away never made me feel the slightest bit out of place.
