I couldn’t stop thinking about what josh ran from when I mentioned Calvin. I mean, what did he do that was so bad that made josh hate that guy so much? Oh wait, it was me. But what was the other thing? I knew there was something else but no one knows and the only one who does is josh.
“Crystal!” Calvin calls to me and I push those thoughts away quickly look around wildly around until I spot him running towards me. I stop and wait for him to catch up.
“Hey! How was yesterday?” his breathing comes irregular and he does this kind of wheezing thing to try to stop it and bends over to help it. I laugh at him and pat his back until he comes up again and sheepishly smiles at me.
“My Sunday was fine. How was yours?”
“Ok I guess. I missed you though.” He grins and leans in for a kiss. I back up grinning.
“I don’t want to give you another wheezing attack.” I mock him and back away slowly as he gains on me.
“I won’t have it again!”
“I just want to be sure.” He takes a deep breath and let go slowly.
“See? I am fine.”
“Now I believe.” And come closer and kiss him softly. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me tighter against him. I end up leaning in for the warmth happily. Something’s off.
He pulls away and that off feeling stops immediately. He grabs my hand and kisses me on the forehead. “Let’s go to class.”
“Alright.” I reply softly and we start walking. I have a weird feeling to the back of me so instinct is to turn around to find out.
Josh is standing behind some ways giving death glares to Calvin’s back but then sees me and gives a small smile. I give a radiant one back for some reason and turn around when I almost trip on something.
“What are you smiling at?” Calvin asks curiously once we get in the school. I blink out of my stare.
“What?”
“What were you smiling at?” he repeats. Oh uhh.. Josh’s smile.
“Just the kiss.” I lie. Seems to work because he smiles and gives me a sly smile.
“So you liked it a lot.”
“You could say that.”
The bell rings and that get everyone’s attention. “Well I better get to class.”
“Yeah don’t want to be late today.” He replies and hugs me. “Goodbye.”
“It won’t be that long you know.”
“I just hate being away from you.”
“Get used to it.” I joke and let go and walk off to Bell’s direction. She stops talking to her friends and gives a grin.
“Get tired of Calvin already?”
“No we just have to get to class and I am here to gather you up.”
“Oh so I’m like a book?”
“No!” I give fake horror to her. “But maybe…” I add and snicker at her. she looks appalled but links arms with me.
“Come on. I need my friend book anyways.” And we set off to class.

“So what are you giving Calvin or josh for Christmas?” Bell asks when we are driving home from school. I shrug and try to think.
“I can’t think of anything. What about Ryan?” she slightly blushes.
