Patience is a Virtue(Under MAJOR editing)

Chapter 9*

It has been two hours. TWO HOURS. I lay down on the bed groaning, covering my face, not wanting to see any more math problems or anything number related.   

“I can’t take it anymore! Am I done? Have you told me enough? My brain says yes.” I grumble/ plead and slouch against my pillow.

He chuckles. “Yes, actually you are.”

I shoot up and do a happy dance and laugh at myself.

“Finally! Thank god! I love you for that so much! You have no idea!”

He smiles but I see the sadness that fills his eyes at my choice of words. Oh right, I probably said that and actually meant it.

 My stomach rumbles and I look down at my stomach, forgetting my internal war in a matter of seconds.

“I’m hungry.” I remark. “I’m sorry I forgot to feed you. Would you like something?”

“Yes that would be awesome.”  He jumps up quickly and mimics my happy dance. I shoot him a glare but laugh and walk out of my room. Bell called out that she was home but I didn’t get to see her because Josh just had to pull me back saying we weren’t done yet.

“Bell did you have dinner?” I ask sweetly and make my way to the kitchen.

She looks up from her laptop. “Yeah just some pizza. There are leftovers in the fridge.” She then goes back to her laptop and starts clicking away.

I lick my lips hungrily and run to the kitchen to get my pizza.

**Josh POV**

I walk down a ways behind Crystal. She was so happy for food; I didn’t want to get in her way. She is like that, but I love her anyways for that. It seemed to consist of most of our dates sometimes. Going out on midnight trips to some random fast food place just so she could re-caffeinate and we could talk.

What she said kind of hurt back there. She said she loved my smart brain but not me. I miss her telling me that and I would say it back. When she actually meant it.

I go downstairs and see Bell looking at me over her laptop in sympathy.

“Anything?” she whispers to me. I shake my head slowly and she frowns.

“Soon.” I whisper back.

She smiles brightly at me. “Good. I liked you guys as a couple. It was very entertaining to watch.”

A smile makes its way to my face as everything comes back in a flash. Absolutely everything we had, it came back. And god damn, was it some good memories.

“Thanks.” and I walk away, into the kitchen.

**Crystal POV**

I am about to walk into the living room wondering where in the world Josh went, then I hear Bells voice whispering to him. She makes out a word and I hear anything? I wonder for a second before I realize their talking about me.

He says soon and my heart flutters. What does he mean soon? Did the doctor say anything more to him saying that I WILL get everything back?

Because that would be helpful.

 But I can hear her say back to him saying we were a cute couple or something like that and we were entertaining to watch, or something like that. Then I hear footsteps coming my way so the most logical thing to do is that I run back and run to the table and nearly miss my seat. I sit stabilizing myself, hoping that nothing looked too suspicious.

I don’t think it was possible to check because my mind went black as so everything else.
