chapter 25

I KNOCK on his door to see his mom open it. I am surprised that she looks exactly like josh. Just a more girl form. “Hey Crystal, honey! Long time no see! How are you after the accident?” I give a warm polite smile to a woman I am suppose to know.

“I am fine Mrs. Peterson.”

“Oh darling I’ve told you enough times you can call me Camilla. Come on in!” she shuffles me in and josh comes rushing through with a weird look.

“Mom! Don’t scare her again. Hey crystal, what do you want?” he complains grinning. I give a confused look to the both of them but shake it off.

“It won’t take long. Could we do it outside?” I motion to the door and quickly run to the outside of the door. 

“Oh Crystal sorry I didn’t mean to.” Camilla giggles. Josh groans and whispers something in her ear and she gets totally sober that second.

“Oh.”

“Yes. Give me a minute now with her. Ill be right back then.” And he gives a quick kiss to her forehead and runs out to meet me. I watch her as the door closes behind him. He chuckles and gives me a look.

“Yeah sorry about that. She can be kind of weird sometimes.” I give a reassuring smile.

“No problem I don’t mind.” I lightly answer. He rocks on his heels and another look is given.

“Soo… why are you here exactly?”  I think for a minute and all memories come back of today and my mood drops some feet.

“So I had something happen to me.. And I just want to know is.. Why did I hate Calvin?” I whisper and tears form at my eyes. He gives me a pained look and looks around to see if we are alone.

“Can we talk about this another time?”

“No.” I stamp my foot like an impatient child. “I want to know now.”

“I can’t tell you.” he whispers and reaches for the door. I grab his arm angrily.

“I know you know.” I warn.

“What are you going to do about it?” he growls and I drop my hand surprised.

“I.. I just… I just want to know.” I whisper. “Something happened today and I want to know.”

“Did he hurt you?” he growls and his eyes rake my body for injury. I cross my arms uncomfortably.

“Not yet but if you don’t tell me now, who knows what will happen later on?”

“What did he do to you?” he threatens and advances on me. I back up until I reach the steps to the door.

“Don’t ask me now. What happened to him and me before?” Josh groans in complication and flips his hair frustrated. I remember that from awhile ago when he would do that when I frustrated him.

I remembered something else.

FLASH

“Why would you do that?!” I scream at him and lash out at his face. Calvin takes a step back surprised at my actions.

“I still love you! That’s why! You belong with me and not him! Don’t you get that?”

“No! I don’t belong with you! I never did and never will.” I snap and groan and look to the sky. 

“You belong with me. I will prove it again.” he growls and comes up to me and shoves his lips against mine again. I give a muffled scream but it doesn’t do much.

“Let. GO. Of. ME.” I finally spurt out and shove him back red faced, fumed all with rage. He grins cockily and sits back.

“You liked it.” his drunk cockiness shines through as he lazily smirks at me.
