One month before
Ambati Raydu banged his fist on the table of an almost empty cafe.
"AGAIN!!!!" he roared angrily.
"Rishabh Pant has been called to England as a replacement to Shikhar Dhawan who has been ruled out due to his thumb injury."
"There are speculations that KL Rahul would be replacing him as the opener and Rishabh Pant is a strong contender for the number four spot."
"What about Ambati Raydu? Selectors preferring Rishabh Pant over him?" Ambati Raydu ignored again?"
"MORONS, BLOODY MORONS", shouted Ambati.
Suddenly, he felt a hand on his shoulder and he turned around to come to face to face with Sanjay Manjrekar, who probably had the widest grin on his face.
"I think you've been wronged, right?" he started sympathetically, "Such a waste of talent", he said shaking his head.
Ambati jerked free of him and asked, "What do you want? Why are you here?"
"It's not about what I want, it about what you want?"
"Huh?", asked Ambati confused by Sanjay's words.
"Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are responsible for this. They already don't like you and so they kicked you out of the squad. Don't you want revenge on them?"
"But they don't dislike me", stated Ambati perplexed.
"Of course, they do. How else do you explain that Vijay Shankar was selected instead of you? And that newbie Pant was given priority over you?"
Ambati's face constricted into an angry one.
"So, I ask you, one last time, do you want revenge?" asked Sanjay smirking.
"I do", said Ambati, clenching his fists.
"Then do what I say."

Present Day
India had clean-swept West Indies in the Test series.
But contrary to what Virat had expected, instead of the rumours subsiding down, they had taken a nasty turn.
Somebody had posted a picture of Virat and Rohit arguing during the practice session and it was going viral. It was a normal Rohirat fight, but the media was hell-bent on proving the rift rumours.
Nobody knew about the war raging on between the two cricketers' fans (thanks to Virat's prohibition on social media) except Virat himself.
Virat was being abused, accused and trolled heavily.
"He can only win bilateral series."
"He's a failure to captaincy."
"He is a choker."
"Rohit Sharma is much better than him anyway."
"Virat Kohli should step down from captaincy."
