Blake cut me down from the chains after a few hours of leaving me hanging there to be ridiculed and judged by his pack. The humiliation of sitting there was bad enough, but the knowledge that my soul mate has plans to rape and breed from me terrifies me more than anything else.
All I could think about as I sat there in the driving rain was Tobias' wink. It was full of hope for me, I think, but it's all I'm clinging to right now.
Blake drags me up the stairs, my legs are numb from sitting down on the hard floor for so long. I don't even care anymore, like I said, I'm numb.
I'm thrown into my room and the door is slammed shut. I don't move from there, I just curl into a ball and sob freely, pressing my fist into my mouth to silence the satisfaction my tears will bring to Blake.
Almost as soon as I hear Blake's footsteps hit the bottom step, my window is opened silently by Tobias. I lift my head up weakly as he clambers his huge body through my window.
"Hey Immy." He murmurs as he kneels beside my limp form, his hand softly cups my cheek and brushes the straggly, soaked hair from my eyes.
"Tobias." I groan out, "I can't, I can't do it anymore."
"I know Immy, I know. I've reached the breaking point too." I look up at him, confused as his eyes look down at me smilingly. "You just need to trust me for a little bit and I'll be back."
"W-what? You're leaving me?" The tears in my eyes threaten to pool on my cheeks once again as I imagine all the terrible things that could happen to me if Tobias leaves.
"Just for a little bit, but I'll be back at nightfall so be ready."
I use the last little bit of strength I have in my drained body to nod at Tobias. He nods heavily with a sigh before he bends down at presses a little kiss to my forehead. His arms disappear under my body and he softly lifts me up and lays me on the bed.
"Sleep little tree-wolf, I'll be back and this will be over."
I exhale deeply and close my eyes to the picture of Tobias climbing out of my window once again. Just before I drift off to sleep, my last thought is that if Tobias is lying to me about saving me, I hope to just die in my sleep. It would be a mercy to my already shattered heart.

"Immy." I jump awake from sleep and it takes a second for my eyes to adjust before I can see that it's Tobias and not Blake.
"Come on now, up you get."
I'm still confused from my deep catatonic state as I scramble awake and stand before Tobias. He leans over to me and pulls me against his chest for a brief moment that had me wishing for an eternity.
