Chapter 15

Mia's POV : 

I got ready for work just then my doorbell rang. I opened the door and saw Alex leaning against the doorframe with a carry bag in his hand. He was wearing suit. His hair neatly styled. 

" Are you going to let me in?" He asked me smirking. That's when I realized, I was checking him out. I cleared my throat and gestured him to come in. 

" Wow nice apartment. Always nice choice Mia" He said looking around the apartment. 

" What are you doing here?" I asked him. 

" I brought breakfast for us" He said showing me that carry bag. I was going to say something but he cut me off-

" Before you say something like you had breakfast. Let me tell you, I know you better. You must have just a apple in the morning. Now come eat with me. You are losing weight day by day" We went in the living room. I turned towards him and took the bag from his hand.

" Go and wash your hands first" I said. He looked at me with questioning look.

" Sorry. What did you say?" He asked looking confused.  I rolled my eyes, he is really dumb.

" I said, go and wash you hands. I don't want any germs in my apartment" I told him crossing my arms near my chest. 

" I was not playing in the mud before coming here and I came in a car. On top of that, I took a shower before coming here" He said. I held his arm and pulled him towards bathroom. 

" Go in and wash your hands" I said sternly. He went inside with his head down and muttered Bitch

" I heard that" I said from outside of the bathroom.

" Well someday you have to face the truth" He yelled from inside. I shook my head with a small smile on my face. He is never going to change. I went in the kitchen and served the breakfast he brought for us in plates. Alex came in kitchen after 10 minutes. 

" Finally you are here. What were you doing inside?" I asked him. 

" Trust me. You will not like to know" He said smirking at me. I scrunched my nose. This guy is weird. 

We both sat down on the dining table and started eating. I moaned tasting delicious pancakes. Alex stiffened on his seat. I looked at him frowning. 

" Are you ok Alex?" I asked him. He nodded. I shrugged and went back to eating. 

After finish eating, I washed the utensils. Alex was talking on a phone. I went outside where Alex was standing.

" Let's go. I will drop you" He said. 

" No it's ok. I will book a cab" I said.

" Shut up and let's go" He said silently daring me to argue with him. I know I can't win against him and I am already getting late. I nodded at him. After taking my phone and purse, we went outside. 

I slide in the passenger seat and he in driver's seat. He started driving towards my boutique. Car ride was silent but this silence was comforting. We reached in front of my boutique. I got out the car. 

" Thanks for the ride" I said with a smile. 

" Mia wait" Alex said and got out of the car. He pulled me towards him by my waist and kissed my right cheek. His lips lingered on my cheek for couple of seconds then he pulled away. 

" Bye my love" He said and went in his car. I shook my head smiling and went inside the boutique. 

My heart is doing weird things again. Please God this time help me in taking right decisions. I don't want to get hurt again. 

" Wow you seem happy this morning. How was your time with the pretty boy?" Athena asked me raising an eyebrow.

We are with a customer now, she is trying a dress we made for her in trial room. Yes, she is the same women who gave us trouble about dress design. I just hope she will like this dress. 

" It was good. I felt like, I had my best friend back" I said with a smile. Athena looked at me in confusion.

" Do you remember when I told you that Alex was my best friend before we became couple?" I asked her and she nodded. 

" That's what I am saying. After a long time I saw my best friend in him. We were teasing each other a lot. It felt amazing" I said smiling remembering yesterday evening. Athena was going to say something but she was cut off by a squeal. That women was coming towards us running. Oh god I think something is wrong with the dress. Please god help me. This women is scar- My thoughts were cut off by a hug.

" Thank you, thank you, thank you so much" That women who hugged me said. I looked at her with wide eyes. 

" Are you ok mam?" I asked her shocked by her behavior. 

" Of course I am okay. I am so happy. You are really a great fashion designer, I will suggest your boutique to my friends" She said with a big smile on her face. 

" I am glad mam that you liked the dress" I said giving her a polite smile.

" And I am sorry about I behaved last time" She said looking at me apologetically. 

" It's ok mam. No worries" I said. 

" No I should say sorry to you. I was really in bad mood that day" She said looking down. I didn't know what should I say, so I just stood there awkwardly. She sighed. 

" Anyways I will leave now. Thank you for the dress" She said and hugged me. After paying the bill, she walked out of the boutique like she just had a victory. 

" Thank god she liked the dress. I thought she will get angry at us again" Athena said and let out a dramatic sigh. 

" Let's have pizza for lunch. What say?" Athena asked excitedly. I nodded. We both went in my  office. 

Athena ordered pizza for us. We were going through our week's orders. Just then our Pizza arrived. Oh my chicken pizza is here. Athena took pizza boxes from the delivery boy and paid him. She put boxes on my desk. 

" Finally! I was really hungry" Athena said and opened the box. 

" When you are not?" I said rolling my eyes. Delicious aroma of pizza filled my nostrils.

" Hey! Don't judge me. You are one worst boss. You don't even let me take a break" She said eating her pizza. 

" Really! When do you work? You just spend your time gossiping" I said. She winked at me. 

" Do you want to go out tonight? In the club?" Athena asked me. 

" Of course. I want to loosen up. This entire week was hectic" I said sighing. 

" Than it's fixed we are going in a club tonight. Wear something sexy" She said smirking. 

" Is Anna also coming?" I asked her. 

" No she is busy in some family function" She said looking disappointed. I side hugged her.

" Hey! it's ok we will enjoy" I said. She smiled at me.

Tonight is going to be fun.
