Chapter 13

Alex's POV: 

I am so excited and nervous today. It's like our childhood all over again. I still remember the first time I saw Mia. Her bedroom window was across mine. The first time I saw her, she was dancing and singing in her room like crazy. I laughed hard looking at her. That was the first time I laughed. Next time I saw her when she was playing in her front yard. I couldn't help myself, so I went near her and talked to her. We instantly clicked. In years, we became best friends but my feeling for her were also growing. I wanted to spend every second of day with her. Then one day, she told me about her feelings for me, I was over the Moon. I also confessed about my feelings. We started dating. I was the happiest person in this world when we started dating. I was in love with her like crazy. Everything was going fine until someone.....

'Alex don't think about it, This is your second chance don't screw it up' My subconscious scolded. 

I shook my head to get rid of all negative thoughts and memories. I am ready to go out. I have 20 minutes to reach near Mia's boutique. I walked out my house locking the door behind me. Jenna already went home. After taking my car from parking lot, I started driving towards her boutique. I parked my car and went inside. There was a receptionist on desk in lobby. She smiled at me. 

" Hello Sir, How may I help you?" She asked me. 

" I am here to meet Mia.... Mia Williams" I said. 

" Do you have an appointment?" She asked me.

" No I don't. But she knows me. You can ask her" I said. 

" I am sorry sir but It's time for mam to go home. You can meet her tomorrow" She said looking at me apologetically. I shook my head but before I could say anything, I heard Mia's voice. I looked towards her. She was looking so beautiful in her red dress that hugged her body showing her curves. I shook my head to get rid of naughty thoughts. This is not the time to get hard Alex. Relax

" What are you doing here? I thought you will come in my office" She said looking surprised. 

" I wanted to go in your office but your receptionist did not give me permission" I said looking at Mia with innocent look. She shook her head and turned towards the receptionist. That girl was looking nervous.

" I am really sorry mam. I didn't know you know him" She said looking down. 

" It's ok Ruby. You were just doing your job. Don't need do be nervous" Mia said and smiled at her. That gir- I mean Ruby let out a sigh of relief. She nodded and sat down on her chair. 

Mia signed me to let's go. I gestured her to walk ahead. She looked at me raising an eyebrow then she shrugged and started walking ahead. I walked behind her. She was going to walk towards her car but I stopped her by holding her hand. 

" Come with me in my car. I will drop you home" I said. 

" But what about my car? and how will I come to boutique tomorrow?  " She asked looking at me in confusion.

" I will pick you up" I said. 

" Are you sure?" She asked me. I nodded. 

We both walked towards my car. I opened the door for her. She slide in passenger seat. I walked around and slide in driver's seat. After fastening the seat belt, I started driving.

After 40 minutes, we reached our destination. Before I went out to open the door for Mia, she went out the car. Ok maybe next time

I also got out of the car, locking it. Mia ran near the beach and stood there. I also went to stand beside her but I wasn't looking at beach.

" Wow Alex! It's beautiful" She said looking at Sunset. 

" Indeed it is" I said. She looked at me and rolled her eyes. 

" Alex I know I am beautiful but I was talking about sunset. Look there" She said and turned my head towards sunset. Yes the sunset is really beautiful but watching this view with the love of my life is an amazing feeling. I pulled her towards me by holding her shoulders.

" Ok now let's go" She said after sometime.

" What? Why? Are you bored already?" I asked her in confusion. 

" No I am not bored but I thought that sun already went home, so we should too" She said and laughed. I still looked at her with furrowed eyebrows. She stopped when she realized I am not laughing with her.

" I can see you are still dumb" She whispered and shook her head. I narrowed my eyes at her.

" Did you just call me dumb?" I asked her still narrowing my eyes. 

" Well it's the truth. Still you don't understand jokes" She said biting her lip. She does this when she tries to stop herself from laughing. 

" I should punish you for calling me dumb" I said and made moments with me fingers in front of her face. Her eyes widened looking at my fingers. 

" I am sorry Alex. You are not dumb okay" She said taking a step back and I took a step towards her. 

" Say Alex is the most handsome guy I ever know" I said with a smirk.

" I would be lying if I say this" She said shrugging her shoulders. I put my hands on her waist and tickled it slightly. She shivered. 

" Say it or I will tickle you just like I did when we were kids" I whispered in her ear. Her eyes widened again.

" Ok ok I will say it. Alex is the most handsome guy I ever know" She muttered. 

" What? what did you say?  I couldn't hear it. Can you say it out loud" I said holding my palm over my ear. She glared at me. Then suddenly she smirked and leaned towards my ear. 

" ALEX IS THE MOST HANDSOME GUY I EVER KNOW"  She yelled in my ear. I pulled away from her and rubbed my ear. People were looking at us like we are crazy. Mind your own business assholes. 

" You are such a bitch" I said glaring at Mia. She laughed again.

" I know that baby" She said mockingly. I couldn't help but chuckled at her expressions. This is the Mia, I wanted to see for long. Carefree and humorous. 

" Let's go home now. I have some pending work" She said. 

" First we will eat somewhere then I will drop you home" I said. She nodded at me. 

We both walked towards my car and slide inside. I started driving towards my favorite restaurant where I met Mia after so long. After reaching there, I gave my car keys to a Valet. We both walked inside. One lady came towards us. 

" Good evening Sir. Good evening mam" She greeted us with a smile. We smiled back at her and greeted her back. Her eyes eyes widened in surprise. But why? 

" Do you have a reservation?" She asked us. Before I could say anything another lady whose name I think is Alice came towards us. 

" Are you stupid Brittany ? You are talking to the owner of this hotel. He does not need a reservation" She scolded the poor girl.

" It's ok she didn't know about it" Mia said. That lady nodded at Mia. That girl, I mean Brittany smiled at us.
