Chapter 19

Janet's POV :

Flashback..

I was going in the classroom when someone pulled my hair. I looked behind and saw most annoying person in my College, Kylie. Her bitches were with her.

" Oh look what we have here" She said pointing at me and everyone started laughing. I rolled my eyes. Seriously, they laugh at anything.

" What now Kylie?" I asked in a bored tone. Her face showed disgust because I said her name. Well it's nothing new.

" Don't take my name from your ugly mouth" She said glaring at me. I rolled my eyes again and going to walk past her but she pushed me and I fell on my face. Everyone started laughing again. I was going to get up on my own but someone forward his hand towards me. I looked at the person and saw Xavier standing there. I immediately retreated my hand from his grasp. My face heat up. He backed away when I did that.

" Baby why are you trying to help her?" Kylie asked in extra sweet voice. I cringed silently.

" What the fuck are you doing? Why are you bullying her?" He asked her angrily.

" I didn't do anything she fall on her own" She said pouting. How I wish to slap her face.

" I saw what you did" He said. Her face tensed.

" Ok I did it. So what? It's not like she is any important and everyone was having fun" She said looking at everybody. But when they noticed Xavier glaring at them, they started to walk away.

" Apologize now" He yelled at her angrily. She looked at him in shock.

" What? Why would I apologize?" She asked and then sent me a glare. Bitch I am not afraid of you. She ran away from there without apologizing. What can I expect from her?

" I am sorry on her behalf" Xavier said looking genuinely sorry.

" It's ok you didn't trip me" I said and he smiled at me.

We both walked in class together. Everyone was looking at us in shock. They must be confuse that how Xavier is with the weirdo. I sat down in front seat and he sat beside me. I looked at him in shock but he just gave me a smile.

Our teacher gave us project that day and guess who is my partner, Xavier. I wanted to change the partner but Xavier didn't let me. He told me that he would come to my dorm to do project and I said no because everyone will start talking about it. So Xavier suggested to go to his apartment. 

It becomes regular thing. We used to go to his apartment after College to do project. As I was spending more time with him, I was knowing him differently. My genuine liking towards him turned into something else, something more beautiful.

One day while doing project, suddenly he kissed me. I was shocked but after sometime, I started kissing him back. When we broke our kiss, his face showed regret. I got embarrassed and run away from there after grabbing my things. Oh shit! we just kissed and he is already regretting it.

After that day I started avoiding him. I ignored his calls and messages. At the day of project submission, he told me to meet him a cafe and if I didn't then he will come to my dorm room. Not having any choice, I went to meet him. He was already there. We just sat there in silence. After sometime he asked me.

" Why did you run away from my apartment after our kiss?" He asked me. When I didn't say anything he held my hands.

"Look Janet, I really like you. You are the first girl that I think I have feelings for. I just want you to believe me." He said. My eyes widened in shock. I can't believe the great Xavier likes me.
