Chapter 22

Alex's POV :

Ring...

I was thinking about Mia in my office when my phone rang. I saw the caller id it's Xander. I eyebrows joined in frown. He was calling me after so long. I picked it up.

" Hey dude. What's up?" I asked him while raking hand through my hair. I couldn't sleep last night.

" Alex where are you?" He asked me in panic filled voice. I got alarmed.

" I am in my office. Why is everything ok? your voice is panicking" I said in concern.

"Mia had an accident and she is at Lifecare hospital. Me and Aria are here with her" He said. My heart dropped hearing it. I instantly stood up already started grabbing my things.

" I am coming but please don't go anywhere till I come there" I said and hung up.

" Sir where are you going? You have meeting now" Amanda said coming in my office.

" Amanda there is an emergency so I have to go. Please cancel the meeting" I said and she nodded.

I ran out of my office then went in my car and started driving towards hospital. After reaching there I asked receptionist about her and she said that Mia is in the room no. 204 on second floor. I walked there and saw Aria crying while hugging Xander. He was comforting her. I looked inside from glass. Mia was sleeping on bed, many wires were connected to her body. I can't see her like this. A tear slipped from my eye. I wiped it when I felt someone beside me.

" Xander what happened to her?" I asked him.

" She was driving when another car crashed on her's from behind. Cops are saying because of that, Mia must have lost control over her car and her car crashed on the tree beside road. Her head was bleeding. Some people who were going from there called the ambulance. Cops called Mia's mother but she couldn't come here fast so she called Aria. We came here as fast as we can. Then I called you to let you know. " He told me.

" What about the driver who was driving that car?" I asked while looking at Mia.

" That driver is missing. He ran away from there" He said. I didn't say anything.

Third Person's POV :

Everyone was worried about Mia's condition. Doctors are not telling anything, they said they will talk to her relatives. After 15 minutes, Mia's mom reached there. Paul was with her. She broke down when she saw Mia. Paul helped her to sit on the bench. Aria hugged her. Comforting her by caressing her back. Just then one male doctor came there.

" Are you patient's mother?" Doctor asked Janet. She nodded at him.

" When is she going to wake up doctor?" Janet asked the doctor.

" We don't know when will she wake up because she should have wake up till now but she still hasn't. If she doesn't wake up tonight, there is high chance of her going in coma" Doctor said. Everyone was shocked hearing it.

Doctor went away from there. Alex sat down beside Janet and put his hand on her's. She looked at him.

" Don't worry Mia will be fine" Alex said and gave her a small smile.

" I am sorry Alex for everything I did but now I know Mia is right. You are better choice for her" She said and gave him a smile.

They sat there till evening. Aria and Xander went home because her being here for more is not good for her pregnancy. Mia has not wake up yet. After lot of convincing, Janet ate the sandwich which Paul bought for her. Janet went inside Mia's room and cried sitting beside her. When she came out Alex went in.
