Chapter 9

Alex's POV :

I was driving furiously towards penthouse. How can they interfere in my life? I know I sound like a brat. But it's really painful for you when some people never cared about you, suddenly started to interfere in your life. 

Suddenly it started raining so I slowed down. Not many vehicles were on the road. I was driving when someone came in front of my car waving hands. I stepped on break. That person came towards the window on my side. I rolled down the window and saw my Mia standing outside. Her clothes were wet and her hair as well but still she looked beautiful. Mia's voice snapped me out of my trance. 

" Alex are you here?" She asked me waving her right hand in front of my face. 

" Oh sorry. Mia what are you doing here alone at this time? And why are you waving like crazy in middle of road? It can be dangerous. What if someone hit you by vehicle thinking that you are a ghost?" I asked her after coming out of my car. 

" Woah woah Alex, nothing happened to me. See I am safe and sound. My car broke down here and I saw your car so I came in front of your car waving like crazy" Mia said trying to calm me down.

" Are you crazy? What if it was some pervert? He would have taken advantage of you" I said trying to make this crazy girl understand. 

" Alex I know self defence and I came in front of your car because I knew it was yours. I know number plate of your car" She said and I sighed in relief.

" But from where you were coming?" I asked her. 

" I went to meet a friend of mine" She said and I nodded at her.

" Let's go you are coming with me" I commanded.

" Excuse me! I am not coming anywhere with you. I stopped your car because I need your help not because I want to go to your place" She said crossing her arms.

" You have to come with me because it's heavy raining and you should not be in your apartment alone" I said.

" No" She said stubbornly. 

I started walking towards her and she started walking backward. We both were drenched because of heavy raining. Her back met with my car. I leaned towards her, my lips were touching her ear. I can feel her breathing heavily. 

" Do I make you nervous baby?" I whispered in her ear. 

" N..o I mean No" She said pushing me back. I smirked at her. 

" Then come to my place and don't worry I will not do anything" I said giving her a smile which she returned.

I helped her to sit on passenger seat of beside driver seat. Car ride was silent. It's like I am dreaming about Mia sitting beside me. It's been so long since we are together without fighting. How I wish it would be forever. But I know Mia is never going to give me a chance. I wish I had a courage to fight for Mia before. But what if this is my second chance? I can still make her mine. As far as I know she is not with someone else. I know there is nothing going between her and Mason also because last time I met him, he was talking about his first love Cassandra. I just hope there is really nothing going between them. I glanced at Mia and saw her looking outside the closed window. I stopped my car in front of my penthouse. 

" Mia we have arrived" I said trying to get her attention. She looked at me then outside again then she got out from the car. I parked my car in parking lot and met Mia towards the entrance. 

" Let's go" I said and started walking. She also started walking beside me. We went in the elevator. I chose my floor then elevator started moving. After we reached my floor, I went in my penthouse first with Mia following behind me. I turned on the lights. Everything was silent as always when I come home. But today was different because someone was with me. I glanced at Mia and saw her looking around. I cleared my throat to get her attention and that worked. 

" You must not be comfortable in these clothes" I said. She looked down at herself in confusion.

" What's wrong with my clothes?" She asked me with furrowed eyebrows. 

" Well you are wet" I said.

" What?" Mia asked with wide eyes. My eyes also widened when I realized what I said. 

" I... I mean your clothes. They are wet" I said clearing my throat. I can feel my cheeks are heating up. 

" Oh.. yeah right. My clothes are wet. But it's ok. I will just use your hair dryer to dry my clothes" She said blushing.

" Why would I use a hair dryer? I am not a girl" I said frowning.

" It's not like only girls can have a hair dryer, boys can also use it" She said.

" Ok but I don't have. You can change into something else" I suggested her. 

" Do you have girl's clothes?" She asked me raising an eyebrow.

" No of course not. But you can wear my hoodie and track pant" I suggested. She nodded at me. 

I went in my room and came back with my hoodie and track pant. I gave them to her. She went to take a shower in my room. I went in a guest room to take a shower. Guest room is clean because my cousin came to stay for two days. Anyways, after taking a shower, I changed into some sweats. After, I went in living room. Mia must be still taking shower. I was so hungry because I didn't even have a dinner so I ordered pizza for both of us. I know Mia loves pizza. Just then my bedroom door opened Mia came out wearing my clothes. Towel was wrapped around her hair. She was looking cute in my clothes. 

" I ordered pizza for us" I informed her. 

" But I had dinner already" She said. but I know she will never say no to food.

" Ok then I will have yours too" I said casually.

" No I will eat it. I am still bit hungry" She said crossing her arms. I chuckled. Just then doorbell rang. I went and opened the door. After paying the delivery man, I kept two boxes of pizzas on coffee table. Mia was watching her favorite series, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES.

" Let's eat Mia" I called her. She nodded at me. I gave her a box of pizza. She started eating while watching tv. After eating I threw the boxes in the trash can. I opened my laptop to check mails.

" Alex" Mia called me. I hummed in response without looking up from my laptop. 

" Where should I sleep?" She asked me. I looked at her and saw her standing there nervously. 

" You can sleep in my room and I will sleep in guest room" I said. 

" No you should sleep in your room, I will sleep in guest room" She said. 

" Are you sure?" I asked her and she nodded her head. 

" Ok then. Good Night. Sweet Dreams" I wished.

" Good Night" She said and went in guest room. Ok so no sweet dreams for me. 

After finishing my work, I went in my room to sleep. But I couldn't sleep knowing Mia is in same house as me. Mia what are you doing to me?
