Chapter 7

Alex's POV :

Present

I was in deep thinking when someone put his hand on my shoulder making me jump.

" Woah man. Are you ok?" Of course it's Ethan. I rolled my eyes.

" Yes I am fine"

" But you are not looking fine. Are you missing someone?"

" No I am not"

" Don't lie Alex" Ethan said narrowing his eyes.

" You are missing Sasha. Right?" He asked.

" Why will I miss her?" I asked.

" Because she is your first and last girlfriend" Ethan said.

" I am not missing her" I said. He just shrugged.

" Woah Mia is looking so hot" Ethan said suddenly.

I looked at the direction he was looking. There she is standing, looking like a goddess. I gulped. Every men is looking at her.

" Damn she is looking so beautiful" Ethan said again. I clenched my fists.

" Shut up" I hissed but Ethan didn't hear. He was still looking at Mia. Mia went in Aria's room.

After sometime Austin came towards us.

" Alex let's go" He said and walked towards the entrance. Aria's parents were standing there. Aria's mom went inside to get them. Lizzy and Emma went to stand beside Austin. Mia came beside me. First Austin, Emma and Lizzy walked down the aisle. Then it was our turn. Mia was frozen on the spot.

" Let's go Mia" I whispered in her ear. She hesitantly held my arm. I can tell she is nervous.

Her sweet scent hit my nostrils. Damn I missed her so much. It's good to have her beside me again.

" You are looking beautiful" I told her honestly.

" Thank you. You are also looking handsome" She said casually and I smirked at her.

When we reached near Aria and Xander, she immediately slipped her arm out of mine like I Burned her. I felt hurt but masked my expression. Wedding ceremony begins.

It was time for their kiss. I looked at Mia and saw her looking at Aria and Xander in adoration. As she felt my gaze on her, her eyes locked with mine. I gave her a small smile, which she returned.

It was time of reception. Couples were dancing in the middle of hall. I was standing with Ethan drinking champagne. He was talking about some random girl he met.

" You know she gave me her number expecting to call her. Like seriously, you think I will call her again when I can have any girl I want" He said. I rolled my eyes. He is such a playboy. He does not want to settle down ever.

I ignored his rambling and looked around the hall. Then I saw certain someone dancing with some guy. My blood boiled looking at them.

" Are you even listening to me?" Ethan asked but I ignored him. He followed me gaze and looked at Mia and that douche.

" Ohh that's Logan. He works at Aria's Company. Woah man where are you going?" Ethan was calling from behind me but I was walking towards Mia.

" Mind if I cut in?" I asked that guy. Mia looked at me and rolled her eyes. I gave that guy a hard glare. He gulped.

"N... No I don't mind at all. Bye" He said and walked away. Mia was still looking at him. I pulled her towards me by her waist. It feels good to have her in my arms again. She locked her arms around my neck to steady herself.

"Why are you here? Can't you just leave me alone?" Mia whispered- yelled at me.

" No I can't leave you alone. I am not repeating same mistake again. You are mine" I whispered back. Trying to make her understand.

" I am not yours. I am not some property you can own. And if you remember correctly, you were the one who pushed me away" She said clenching her jaw.

" I know I made a mistake but please can we talk just once" I said tightening my grip on her waist. I was begging through my eyes. She sighed and nodded. I smiled in relief.

I held her hand and we went outside in garden.

" What you want to talk about?" Mia asked folding her arms.

" Mia I am sorry. I know I hurt you so much in past. But please give me one chance. I will prove myself to you" I said desperately.

" Look Alex I already forgive you but it's really hard for me to forget. I gave you my heart but you crushed it in pieces" She said. I can see pain and sadness in her eyes. I just lowered my head.

" I am really sorry. I was so stupid that time" I said.

" If you didn't like me you should've break up with me. Why did you cheat on me? Do you how hearbreaking it was for me?" I didn't say anything. She looked at me and shook her head.

" Of course you don't know. Because you were busy fucking Sasha" She said and gave me a cold smile.

" I never fucked her. You were the first one I slept with" I said. So many emotions passed through her eyes. Pain, Anger...

" Do you think I am stupid? You were with her since we broke up. You even kissed her when we were still in a relationship and couldn't even wait till we end it and you want me to believe that you never slept with her" She exclaimed.

" I swear Mia, I never slept with her" I said trying to make her believe me.

" Ok let's say I believe you. Then why didn't you. You yourself said that Sasha is the one for me not Mia. Mia is the girl who no one knows" She said looking at me with cold expression. My eyebrows knitted in confusion.

" When did I say that?" I asked.

" I heard you when you were talking with Xander in school" She told me. Oh god this is messed up. She started to walk away but I held her wrist.

" Don't walk away from me Mia. I love you. Infact I never stopped loving you" I said desperately. Suddenly she started laughing.

" Wow nice joke Alex. One more please" Mia said wiping invisible tears from eyes.

" I am not joking Mia it's the truth" I said.

" Really?  you love me. You know that's the biggest lie I have ever heard. Do you even know what love is?" She asked I didn't say anything.

" Love means caring deeply for someone. Accepting that person with his flaws. You can never hurt the person you love. You can never think of another person other than her or him" Mia said. I feel my my eyes are burning. I held both of her hands.

" Mia love means sacrifice as well. Sometimes you have to sacrifice anything for the person you love" I said looking into her eyes.

" So you are saying that you sacrificed our love. For what your reputation? You are just making excuses. Now you want me because I am famous and rich" She said.

" No no that's a lie Mia. I never stopped loving you. Even when she told me to stay away from you. I am serious Mia plea-" Mia cut me off.

" Who told you to stay away from me?" She asked. My eyes widened. Oh shit.

" Alex I am asking you something. Who told you?" Mia asked again.

" No one. That just slip out" I said panicking.

" So you are just making excuses" She said. I didn't say anything.

" You are never going to change. Bye Alex" Mia said and walked away from there. I just looked at her as she was walking away. A tear slipped from my eye. How I wish everything was easy.
