Chapter 17 (Looming Thunder Part 2)

(The Tracks)

The ground began to shake, causing Dustin to lose his balance. "What was that?" Asked Blake,  as Hunter helped Dustin back to his feet. "I don't know weird huh?" Lied Dustin. The mole monster is back. Dustin thought to himself. A beap came from Dustin's morpher drawing all three boys' attention. "Hey freaky watch. Does that have a compass?" Asked Hunter as he grabbed Dustin's arm to have a closer look. "Yeah. It's got a bunch of cool stuff, I'll show you some time." Said Dustin as he shook Hunter's hand off of his arm. "Actually, you know what. I got to head off." Said Dustin as he started to back away. "Hey how come you always got to bale?" Asked Hunter. "Yeah Dustin. You want to ride like a pro, you have to practice like one."  Joined in Blake. "Come on let's see if we can shave a few seconds off your time." Pushed Hunter. "Yeah come on Dustin." Said Blake. "Sorry guys, I really go ta' go." Said Dustin as he walked away. Blake looked down at the ground, and picked up Dustin's backpack. Showing it to his brother they both smirked.

(A factory)

"Where is he?" Asked Shane as he and Tori looked around. Both were morphed, Tori in her blue suit and Shane in his red. "Found him." Said Tori as the mole monster popped out of the ground and grabbed her leg. "Shane!" Yelled Tori, as she was pulled into the hole. "Let her go!" Demanded Shane as he turned towards his fallen friend. Shane pulled out his blaster and took aim, however before he could fire the monster grabbed his legs, and threw him. "Where's Dustin?" Tori asked as she layed on the ground next to Shane. "Air head? His ranger days are over." Said the monster. "Hey we're the only one who can call him an airhead." Said Shane, defending his friend. "Can't believe I got stuck in traffic. Hope I'm not too late. "Said Dustin as he ran towards his friends. He arrived  just in time to see his friends thrown on the ground by the monster. "Oh man." Said Dustin as he watched from above. "Man." Said Dustin as his friends were electrocuted by the monster. "Guys Hang On! Back off mole!" Yelled Dustin as he summoned his lion hammer. Dustin swiped his hammer at the monster, only to miss. The monster  disappeared back into the ground. "You can't hide forever."Said Dustin as he walked around. "Lion Hammer Time!" Yelled Dustin as he hit the ground in multiple pots, however the monster wasn't there.

(Ninja Ops)

"Dustin cut that way too close." Said Cam as he and his father watched the ranger's battle on the screen. "Observe. His actions will show his dedication." Said Sensei. However Cam just looked over at his father with doubt.

(The Battle)

"How's this for a big bang?" Dustin asked as he slammed his hammer onto the ground. A few feet away the monster was forced out of the ground, and into the air. "You know what I'm thinking." Said Dustin once the monster got back up. "Sonic Fin!" Called Tori. "Hawk Blaster!" Yelled Shane as he connected his weapon to Tori's. "Lion Hammer!" Dustin yelled,  as he completed the storm striker. "Take this." Said Dustin as he fired the storm striker at the monster. The monster blew up,, and Tori, Dustin, and Sane celebrated. They had beaten another monster!

(Lothor's ship)

"Was it this one?" Marah asked as she pressed a button on the P.A.M. "Okay I know one of these turn him big." Sighed Marah, as she continued to press buttons. "Are you through huh?" Asked Kapri as she took the P.A.M. away from her sister. Kapri pressed two buttons on the P.A.M., which called forth the scroll of empowerment.

(Shane, Dustin, and Tori)

"Hah, hah. Can you guess who the mole is now." Said the mole as he grew. "Woh!" Yelled he rangers as they jumped away from their giant problem. "Cam you know the drill." Said Dustin into his morpher. "Ninja Zords!" Yelled Dustin, as he, Tori, and Shane jumped into their zords. "Megazord formation."Said Dustin, as he took the lead. "Time to lay some groundwork." Said the monster as he disappeared under the ground once more. He wasn't gone for long before he popped up behind he Storm Megazord. The mole monster repeatedly attacked the rangers, not giving them time to recover. "He's too fast." Said tori  as the monster went under the ground again. "Lightning magazord engage!" Yelled Dustin. The once bulky and heavy megazord transformed into a sleek and light megazord. The monster dug up form the ground right by the megazord's foot. Seeing an opportunity, he swiped their leg, knocking them to the ground. 

However the lightning megazord wasn't down for long. The megazord quickly jumped at the monster, but the mole was too fast. Once again the mole disappeared under the ground only to reappear, by the megazords legs. Knocking the megazord down again. "Again with the digging thing," Complained Shane.  "He's a mole Shane, that's what they do. Power down and I'll send you something that will help." Cam's voice sounded through their morphers. "Downloading power sphere 4." Said Cam. "Right on!" Replied Dustin, when a new disk appeared in his cockpit.  "Got it! Let's see if we can hit a jackpot." Said Dustin as he inserted the power disk. A hammer with a ram's head on it appeared in the megazord's hand. "Uh oh, time for me to hit the dirt." Said the monster as he retreated back into the ground, "Think again chump." Said Dustin as the megazord hit the hammer on the ground. The monster was sent fling out of his hiding place, and into the air. One final strike with the ram hammer and the monster was history.

(The Tracks)

"Yeah!" Yelled Tori and Shane, as they watched Dustin and Aria race around the track. Aria quickly passed the finish line and  drove over to Shane and Tori. Meanwhile Dustin's race wasn't so clean. When he had went around one of the corners he sprayed dirt all over Tori and Shane.  "Thanks for the shower." Tori said sarcastically. "Yeah sorry So what, did I look faster?" Dustin asked his three friends. "You were ripp'n bro." Said Shane as he and Dustin clasped hands. "Hey uh, where's Hunter and Blake? Figure they'd be here. " Asked Shane. "Yeah I don't know, I guess they had better things to do then hang out with a goof like me huh?" "You're definitely goofy Leone, but your our goof." Said Aria as she gave Dustin a hug. "Thanks Ria." Said Dustin as he ruffled the younger girl's hair. "Hey, uh some of the stuff before. I didn't mean you weren't committed." Apologized Shane. "I know." Assured Dustin. "Yeah,  you're a great ra..." Started Tori, before she remembered Aria was standing with them. "Thanks Tor." Said Dustin, showing he understood what she was trying to say. 

The three rangers never noticed the two forms in the background watching the. "Have fun while you can." Said the one in navy. "You have no idea what's coming." Agreed the crimson ranger.

Hey guys this is  part two to the chapter, Looming Thunder. I have some important news to tell you. There will not be updates as often as there has been. I know for the past week, maybe two I have been updating everyday, but that is going to change. I have soccer tryouts, books to read, and plays to memorize. I will continue to upload as often as possible, and I hope you guys will be patient with me. 

Anyways, I know some of you are anxious to see Aria morphed, and let me tell you it  will be happening very soon. It hasn't happened earlier, because her sensei told her to only use it when the rangers need the extra help. So far they have been able to handle themselves. So Aria will become a ranger, but a very mysterious one.

PS. Anyone know what happened to Dustin's backpack? ;)
