Chapter 63 - Block B Round 1 Part 1

Before we proceed with the next set of matches from block A, let's see what's going on in block B.

In the adjacent arena, Aizawa was sitting in the announcer's box with Cementoss and Power Loader overseeing the match.

"Alright, let's get this over with. The first match is between Tokoyami Fumikage and Yaoyorozu Momo of class 1-A." He announced with a dull voice.

Tokoyami and Momo walked to the arena and stood on opposite ends.

"Sorry if I hurt you, Yaoyorozu, but I am here to win." Tokoyami told her.

"Well, I wouldn't expect anything less from my classmate." Momo responded with a smile as she got ready to create something to help her against the Bird Man.

Tokoyami charged at the girl with Dark Shadow in retaliation to this, Momo made a shield with one hand, while she thought up a plan to help her win.

"You know this is a bad match-up for you." Tokoyami told her.

"That is what makes it fun." Momo told him as she tossed a flashbang into dark shadow, blinding and weakening the shadow, causing it to retreat to Tokoyami. Momo tosses the shield away and takes a second to create a mirror and a metal rod. She charged at Tokoyami with the rod, aiming to give him one solid hit to knock him out and end the match quickly but Dark Shadow caught the rod.

"It will take more than a puny flashbang to weaken me!!!" Dark Shadow told the girl as it yanked the rod and tossed it away with one hand and crushed the mirror with the other.

"You got to do better than that, Yaoyorozu!" Tokoyami shouted as Dark Shadow started to attack the girl, causing her to pick up the shield she had previously thrown to the floor in defense. "You won't be able to attack if you only defend!!!"

'Damn it, the flashbang didn't work!!! The techniques that Izuku taught won't work either since he knows them too and anything that is stronger or bigger than the flashbang will need more time!' Momo thought to herself. While Momo was lost in her mind, Dark Shadow had managed to push the girl to the edge of the stage causing her to stumble off of it.

"Hey, you alright?" Tokoyami said as he walked to help her up.

"Yeah, I guess I got lost in thought." She took a deep breath and sighed. "You did great though, looks like you took Izuku's advice of training your endurance to light-based attacks."

"Yeah, it was unorthodox but without his advice, I would have probably lost after the flashbang," Tokoyami said scratching the back of his head. "Here, let me help you up." He told her as he offered her a hand.

"Thanks." Momo smiled.

"The winner is Tokoyami of Class 1-A." Aizawa says in a tired voice. "How many matches remaining again?" He thought out loud.

"Seven more, Aizawa!" Cementoss shouted, rolling his eyes at the man.

"UHHHHHHGGGHHHH!" Aizawa groaned out loud. "Alright, next match. We have again from class 1-A, Katsuki Bakugou going up against Mezo Shoji."

Katsuki and Shoji walked up to the arena and greeted each other.

"May the best man win, Bakugou." Shoji told him.

"I plan to." Katsuki said, with a smirk.

"Match begin." Cementoss shouted with Katsuki vanishing from Shoji's field of vision. He was about to kick Shoji from behind with Shoji's tentacle arm caught his leg mid-kick and slammed him to the ground.

"Nice one, next time you won't be so lucky." Katsuki said as he disappeared once again, this time appearing right in front of Shoji and releasing a massive explosion to his chest at almost point black range. "Point Blank Grenade!" He shouted as Shoji skidded to a stop just before the end of the arena.
