mingi was talking to yunho and yeosang when he saw something in the corner of his eye which took his focus off of them completely. he noticed you outside of a shop leaning on the wall, seemingly waiting for someone. mingi couldn't help but smile as he saw you awkwardly stare at your phone to avoid communicating with other people whenever they passed, something you did a lot.
his heart dropped to his stomach when he saw a guy walk out of the shop and walk up to you. but this time you didn't look at your phone, you put your phone away and started talking to him, smiling while you did it to make things worse. of course you were allowed to have other friends it's just that mingi didn't like seeing you outside with your guy friends, where he wasn't there to protect you. mingi clenched his fists while watching you, looking around awkwardly while still trying to look interested in the conversation that his friends were having. he let out a sigh and leaned on his arm which was resting on the table, growing more and more anxious as he watched.
he was caught off guard by yunho laughing at how mingi was supposedly daydreaming the whole conversation, causing san to turn around to where he was looking and over dramatically gasp. he pointed to you and the mysterious guy and started laughing.
"oh mingi is so jealous of that guy right now! he's hanging out with his girl!" san said grabbing wooyoungs arm excitedly
"who is he?" mingi whined, feeling intimidated by the guy
"why do i feel like i went to school with him?" seonghwa said, narrowing his eyes at him
"WAIT WAIT... i've seen him on your like facebook friends list or something" san said, trying to stay relevant during the conversation
"okay one: i do not use facebook and two: that's yoon sanha! don't worry mingi he is nice" seonghwa said, trying to reassure mingi
"i thought old people used facebook" san whispered, looking over to wooyoung who just shrugged
"wow he is probably taller than mingi!" jongho added, staring at the guy, amused by how tall he was.
"that's what i'm worried about" mingi groaned as he hit his head on the table, causing jongho to reach out his hand and pat him on the back
"don't worry if she cheats on you we will get payback" wooyoung snickered, high-giving san in the process.
"she won't cheat!" hongjoong said defensively trying to cheer mingi up, sending death stares towards wooyoung and san
"want me to go and talk to them?" wooyoung said, not even giving mingi time to reply before disappearing. mingi looked around, concerned until he saw wooyoung approaching you. he could do nothing but watch in fear while hiding his face as much as possible. he saw wooyoung run up behind you and jump on your back, he cringed as he realised that you would probably realise he was there. hitting his head on the table once again.
he lay his head down on the table whilst everyone else was shouting and laughing at wooyoung until he felt a hand on his shoulder, when he looked up and saw you he felt his ears burning up and going red from embarrassment. mumbling a few words before slamming his head back on the table. playfully, you pulled his head back up by the hair and made him look at you, smiling as you saw his cheeks turn red. he smiled back, quickly realising and trying to hide his face using his hands to avoid more embarrassment. as he looked up he saw seonghwa and sanha talking to eachother as if they were best friends, he took the opportunity to pull your hand so that you sat on the chair next to him. wrapping his arm around your waist protectively, he lay back in his chair finally being able to relax knowing that you weren't going anywhere.
