please- kageyama's pov.

I woke up to Rhiannon's head leaving my chest and immediately sitting up, gasping for air.

"Hey are you okay?" she jumped at my words as she turned to face me. She scooted away from me, fear in her eyes like I was a stranger.

"Okay just calm down it's okay." I tried to comfort her. She had so much fear and hatred in her eyes.. Did I do something?

Then, she looked down at the necklace and her facial expression softened. She sighed in relief and held the crystal between her fingers.

"Nightmare..?" I asked after a minute of silence. She looked up at me and nodded. I held my arm out to her.

"Cmere." she looked at me, that fear still tingling in her eyes and she hesitated before cuddling up to me. It must've been a really bad dream..

"Wanna talk about it?" I whispered, wrapping the ends of her hair around my finger. She was trembling, I had no clue what to do.

It was silent for another minute, since she didn't respond.

"Want me to help you get your mind off it..?" I mumbled. She nodded. I started to think of what I could do..

I stood up and took her hand. She interlocked her fingers with mine and I had to hold back my blush as I brought her into the backyard.

"What are we doing..?" she asked me and I grabbed her volleyball from a crate.

"Well, every-time I need to get my mind off something, volleyball usually helps." I shrugged. It was the only thing I could think of. I tossed the volleyball up and down with one hand.

"Can I serve it?" she asked. I dropped the volleyball in my hand and smirked at her.

"Your gonna have to come and get it." she rolled her eyes and chuckled, her smile coming back. She walked over to me and I saw her go to reach for the ball. I lifted my arm, holding it out of reach. With my free hand, I grabbed her wrist that she used to go and grab the ball and smirked at her again.

"What? You think I was gonna let you just take it dumbass?" I chuckled. She went on her tippy toes to try and reach it but she was too short. She went to try reaching for it again, and our faces got really close. I couldn't control my blush. Once she realized, she started blushing too. My hand was still on her wrist and I caught myself staring at her lips. Then, the unbelievable happened. I caught her staring right back at mine; flicking her eyes between them and my eyes every few seconds. Her dark brown eyes were still glassy but not as much as before. She parted her lips.

Oh my god, is this really happening..?

Fuck it.

I brought my lips to hers, the feeling was shocking. I've wanted to do this forever. And she kissed back. I wrapped my hands around her waist and lightly pulled her into me as she wrapped her hands around my neck and brought them up to my hair, all while deepening the kiss. It was even better than I imagined.. I got chills.

Welp, here's my first kiss.

We both pulled away but our faces and lips were still super close and caught our breath, both of us breathless from the kiss. I rested my forehead on hers.
