Even after that interaction, we still weren't buddy buddy. We weren't even on talking terms in my eyes. All that showed me was we still cared for each-other. But we were far from being "friends" again. I don't even know if we ever will be.

Thankfully my injury wasn't too bad since Kageyama put that ointment on it and bandaged me up, so I was still able to play volleyball.

"Everyone!" I was with Tanaka when I heard Takeda's voice. I looked at the gym doors and my heart dropped, my knees almost buckling. Tanaka and Hinata's eyes immediately fell on me.

"Guys.. Rhiannon's gonna faint!" Tanaka whisper laughed.

"Let me introduce you to Keishin Ukai, who will be our temporary coach starting today til our Nekoma game is over!" Takeda announced. Ukai looked around the gym, nostalgic.

Rhiannon Ukai.. That sounds nice.. Wait, why does that sound familiar?

"He's the grandson of the original Coach Ukai." Almost as if he read my mind, Takeda said who he was and everyone gasped.

"Stop wasting time idiots, go start warming up! Your opponents will be here soon!" Ukai demanded.

"Yes daddy.. Degrading kink goes brr brr.." I whispered and did finger guns as made the sound effects. Tanaka heard and held back laughter.

"Wait opponents? Who's coming?" Daichi asked. Ukai did a cocky smirk.

"The karasuno neighborhood association team." he said.

Damn that's the cringiest name ever but he made it sound hot lol.

"SUGAMAMA!" I yelled and Sugawara looked over.

"Yeah?" he asked.

"COME SET FOR ME!" I hollered. He smiled and nodded and hurried over.

"I thought you and Kageyama were talking again and you were gonna stiff me for him." he chuckled.

"Never Suga.." I pouted.

"Nah, I wish you did." he said and my jaw hung open.

"WOWWWWW!" I chuckled.

"N-Not like that it's just, uh.. I wish you and Kageyama were talking again ya know? It feels weird.." Suga said and I sighed.

"Yeah, I know.." I received the ball to Suga and got ready to run in for a spike.

Once he set the ball up I quickly ran up and let my arms extend behind me, and jumped high. Last second, Tsukishima came into block me, probably wanting to shut me down so I get embarrassed.

I smirked at him and just lightly pushed the volleyball over his hands, another trick my brother taught me, and the ball fell to the ground. I swiftly landed on my feet and sighed, flipping my hair back. Tsukishima just stared at me with one of his usual salty looks.

"Nice block." I smiled at him and now he looked even more angry. I turned my heels on him and made eye contact with Ukai🥵 who looked at me impressed.

"Rhiannon er, look behind you.." Suga held back laughter. I looked behind me to see Hinata jumping up for just a normal spike, that's who Ukai was looking at. Probably shocked at his jumping height.
