birthday.

Before I knew it, the Interhigh's were here. But also, something even better.

My birthday;)

Me and Kageyama have been dating for about a month. Now, the interhigh tournament was days away and EVERYONE was busy training for it. I didn't want to get in the way of everyone's hard work so, I just kept my birthday to myself.

The school day went by pretty fast and thankfully, no one mentioned my birthday. I was just planning on celebrating with my dad and maybe my brother.

I went to the gym for practice and the lights were off. But the door was unlocked..?

"Weird.. UH IF THERE IS LIKE AN INTRUDER OR SOMETHING IN THERE, I WON'T SNITCH I PROMISE JUST UH DON'T FUCK WITH THE VOLLEYBALL STUFF PLEASE!" I yelled out.

Silence. The only noise was my voice echoing through the gym.

"Oh my god I'm gonna fucking die.." I let out a shakey breath as I tip toed over to the light switch.

"pleasedontmurdermepleasedontmurdermepleasedontmurderme.." I squinted my eyes closed as I flipped the light switch. I peaked my eyes open the tiniest bit. Nothing.

"Whew.." I sighed and turned around.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

"AHH!" without looking, I grabbed the arm of someone in front of me and put it in an arm bar, flipping them onto the ground on their back. I pinned their hands above their head and sat on top of them.

"Wait.. Happy birthday?" I looked around the room to see the whole volleyball team, including Ukai Takeda and Kiyoko standing there staring at me, all wearing party hats. I looked down to see Kageyama underneath me.

"Oh.. Whoops. Sorry you guys scared me." I laughed.

"Well that's kind of the point of a surprise!" Kageyama groaned. I got off him and helped him up. Then, it all hit me. I put my hand over my mouth and tears welded in my eyes.

"You guys threw a surprise party for me..?" I held back tears of joy.

"It was all Kageyama and Hinata's idea." Daichi said. I looked at the duo shocked.

"HINATA GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE!" I yelled as I jumped into Kageyama's arms, his hands going on the bottom of my thighs. He spun me around and I kissed him on the lips, smiling between the kiss. Hinata came over and I gave him a big hug, ruffling his hair.

"Thank you thank you thank you!" I wrapped my arms around both their shoulders and pulled them close to me in a group hug. Then without letting go, I looked up at the others.

"But wait.. What about the interhigh?" I asked.

"We decided that we've all been working so hard for it, we deserve a break. And it is your birthday after all." Ukai explained. Now, the waterworks were kicking in.

"Oh come on, don't cry dumbass!" Kageyama rolled his eyes.

"I'M SORRY!"

So turns out, Ukai got a FUCKING CAKE from his store for me. And everyone got me PRESENTS TOO?!?!

One of my presents (from Yams) was a bluetooth speaker. So you already know what that means😏

"THAT'S NOT CHEATING IF I WASN'T WITH YOUR ASS!" me, Tanaka, and Noya all yelled the lyric coming out of the speaker.

"YOU KEPT SECRETS AND YOUR COUSIN TOLD ME THAT! LOGICAL THINKING IS JUST SOMETHING THAT YOU LACK SO, WHAT YOU EVEN MAD FOR? LOOKING LIKE A STICK UP IN YOUR ASSHOLEEEE!" I pointed at Tanaka and Noya while singing the lyrics. Then, I turned on my heels and walked over to Hinata.
