(14)First Date

Ej's POV

Smirking I drive off too the mall. You see I have learned a couple things about Ricky since the end of the musical. One, he hides how he feels, two, he is a good cuddlier, and three, he needs someone there for him. Which I was determine too be that person that would be there for him, and be there too protect him. But like we both knew I would have too go off too college, I would have too leave eventually which is partly why I was taking him too this place on our first date. Once we were about halfway there Ricky turned too me as he started too ask me where were going, too which I just roll my eyes at him before saying "It's a surprise." Letting out a very dramatic sigh he starts too guess where I was taking him, but I wouldn't budge.

Finally once we got there I pulled into a parking spot before getting out of the car. Confused Ricky stay'd in the car as I walked around the car, opening the door for him, "My good sir." Laughing he gets out of the car and grabs my hand, sending the butterfly in my stomach on a rampage. After calming down I started walking towards the mall entrance, pulling Ricky along with me. Finally once I successfully pulled him into the mall I loosened my grip on his hand as I started walking around. Looking over at Ricky I saw him staring at me acting like I was crazy, smirking back at him I continued too pull him through the crowd until I stopped in front of the store. Smirking at him I say "lets build a bear."

After he realized what we were doing he smiled at me before pulling into a hug. Smiling I hug him back before pulling away and offering my hand out too him "Shall we?" Nodding his head he took my hand we walked into the store with smiles on our faces. After searching for a while I decided too do something special for him, so once he picked out a bear I watched his eye light up while the worker lead him through 'seal it with a kiss' act. But right as they were about too close the bear I stopped the worker. "Hey Ricky go pick out some close I'll be right there with the bear." Nodding his head he walked off while I picked up one of the voice recorders "Can I record something for the bear before you close it up?" Nodding her head she smiled at me as I said my message into the machine, and watched as the small recorder device got placed inside the bear. Thanking the worker I quickly walk over too see Ricky still looking through the clothes. Smiling I help him as we start too dress him in some red high-tops, that matched the ones he was wearing. As we looked through the shirt and pants he said "bears shouldn't wears pants and shirts, its a bear." Looking at his weird I suddenly ask him why the bear was wearing shoes, too which he just answers "he can't walk bear foot, even if he is a bear. Also we should get him glasses. What if he can't see?" Laughing at him I watch him put a pear of black, bear sized glasses the bear before saying "he's done." Nodding my head I smile at him as I pull him over too the computer where we start his birth certificate.

By the time I payed for the bear it was around lunch time, so walking too the food court Ricky carried the bear like a baby. Once we got our food we sat down a-crossed from each other, but as I began too eat I noticed that Ricky hadn't even touched his yet, so getting his attention I say "set it down before your food gets cold." Looking at me sternly he says "Excuse me he has a name?" Rolling my eyes and say "And what might his name be?" Smirking at me he told me "Franklin Bowen-Caswell". Laughing I go back too eating my food as I watch him steal one of my fries. Hitting his arm playfully I take a piece of chicken from him, as he just sticks his tongue out at me in return. After I had finished most of my food, and Ricky started too just pick at his I threw it way before pulling him up from his seat, watching as he grabs Franklin quickly before allowing me too pull him along with me.

Once we got too my car I watched as he buckled Franklin in on his lap smiling at me. Laughing I ruffle his hair, causing a couple curls too fall in front of his eye, making his look even cuter. Smiling I pull out of the parking spot before turning on some light music, as I drove too our next destination. While driving I slowly reached my hand a-crossed the middle consul and lacing my hand with his. Finally we made it too the last spot too our date. Smiling I got out of the car and opened his door watching as he got out of the car looking behind me in wonder. Laughing I take his hand as he grabbed Franklin out of the car before letting me pull him along. After playing various games, eating a lot of greasy food, and riding some most likely dangers rides. As the sky grew dark I pulled Ricky towards the best ride at the fair grounds, the fares wheel. Once we both got into a car on the ride, we sat opposite of each other as the ride started too slowly rise up. As it rose into the air I pulled out my phone and videoed the cuteness in front of me. But as our cart reacher the top I grabbed Ricky by and collar and kissed him, not even think twice he kissed me back causing e too smile into the kiss.

As we got off the Farris wheel I made sure that he had Franklin, knowing that he was already attached too it, before grabbing his free hand. As I grabbed his hand I spun him around before lightly kissing his lips. After a couple seconds he pulled away before smiling sleepily, so taking this as a sign as a good time too leave I started dragging him towards the car. Not really getting very far I turn around and tell him too get on, before helping him up onto my back feeling him wrap his arms around my neck. Once we got too the car I pulled him off of my back before setting him in his seat and buckling him in with his new little friend.

*Got back too Ricky's house, 9:00 p.m.*

By the time we got back Ricky was falling asleep in the passenger seat of the car, hugging Franklin. So smiling I quietly walk over and pick him up out of his seat, carry him bridle style while he still holds tightly too the bear. As I walked into Ricky's house I was met by Mr. Bowen sitting in the living room, looking over the back of the couch. "So how was the date?" My eyes widen as I feel my arms almost give out, until I remember who I was holding. Trying too find the right words too say, he eventually hushes me and says that he's okay with us together. Sighing I thank him as I start too walk up stairs before I turn around and ask "Mr. Bowen is it okay if I stay the night again? I promise nothing will happen." Smiling at me he says "I know Ej, and yes you can stay the night. As long as you promise too protect my son." Nodding my head I walk upstairs and slowly place Ricky on the bed with his bear, before running back down stairs too grabs some  spare clothes from my car for the next day. Once I made sure we both were comfy I turned the light off and quietly slid into bed, pulling Ricky too my chest. As I drifted off I quietly say "I promise I will always protect you, I love you Bubs."
