chapter fifteen. welcome to new york.

wow, okay. a lot has happened in the past year. angelina had gone into the art program of NYU gladly, and she fit in perfectly to the clive davis institute of recorded music. she had a wonderful dorm partner, as well.

well, perfect most of the time.

olive adria was in the the kanbar institute of film & television. meaning she was in the art program alongside angelina. she remembered the day she met olive like it was yesterday. it was certainly a small world.

"we're roommates, right?" angelina didn't look up at the girl in front of her, still looking down at her schedule. she couldn't help but be in awe of the school. it was better than what she imagined.

"yeah, i'm olive — call me liv, though. pleasure to meet you," the girl, apparently named olive, had caused angelina to look up finally. olive had been holding a hand out for her to shake.

"you too," angelina smiled warmly, shaking olive's hand and finally making eye contact. she'd seen those (ironically) olive eyes somewhere . . . "i knew a girl named olive once. my best friend in elementary."

olive seemed to ponder a moment. she studied angelina softly, her eyes going up and down — as if scanning her.

"what did you say your name was, again?" she asked, furrowing her eyebrows.

"angelina. why?"

olive took a moment once more. but instead of looking angelina up and down, she looked stuck in her own thoughts. angelina couldn't help but wonder what was going through olive's mind.

"is your last name . . . phan?" olive asked, looking back up once more. angelina was slightly taken aback, furrowing her eyebrows. "i know i sound like a psychopath, but you didn't happen to go to pine gills elementary, did you?"

angelina had indeed went to pine gills elementary school, growing up in albany, new york. this couldn't be her olive, could it? this girl had the thickest english accent in the world - but the green eyes looked oh so familiar.

"olive ... adria?" angelina took the chance. there was no way it could be the girl she used to be friends with. angelina had left new york by the age of ten — if anything, she forgot about olive.

olive's eyes widened and her lips slightly parted.

"NO FUCKING WAY?"

angelina gasped, eyes now bulging out of her head.

"WHAT THE FUCK?"

while angelina was focused on the fact she saw the very familiar face, olive was more concerned about another thing.

what the fuck was she going to tell ranboo?

she could always go . . . without saying something, right?

well, ranboo had told her plenty about angelina. from the way he described her, she seemed like a perfectly good person. after a while of moving to new york, he stopped talking to her. after all, he's still dating hayden. long distance — but still really disgusting.

well, angelina and ranboo don't necessarily have to know right away, right?

she needed to tell tommy and toby. quick.

"well, i have something to tell you," olive smiled guiltily, squinting her eyes softly. "i'm a video game streamer, and i didn't realize i was going to have a roommate until last minute so i was going to soundproof the walls, but then you're here, so . . ."
