Billies pov

I wake up with a yawn, its thursday morning and I have just one day until that dreaded field trip, I'm really not looking forward to that but I'll just have to enjoy a bit of peace while it lasts

Me and Ben decided to skip our morning patrol today because dad said him and Miles would go out instead

On our way to school we stop at Delmars and get sandwiches for breakfast, definitely a good idea

Once we enter the school I run off to find Jackson while Ben goes to find his friends

I find him talking to one of his football friends

"Hey you" Jackson says and smiles at me as I walk over "I was telling Rhys here about how we're going to SI tomorrow"

"Yeah" Rhys says "pretty exciting, maybe you'll see Spider-man, you really liked him in middle school, right?"

"Oh, yeah" I say "yeah I really liked him then"

After a chat with Rhys, Jackson and I go to my locker and start the school day

Time skip to end of school

Jackson, Ben and I all meet outside school and decide to walk to the subway station, we're supposed to swing home but I told Jackson I'd walk with him

Jackson thinks we live in an orphanage near here so that's why he's never met our family

After I say bye to jackson at the subway station me and ben go and swing home, and by home I mean an alley near the tower where we walk the rest of the way

I land and quickly look around then tap my watch making my suit disappear and I'm back in my civilian clothes

Ben does the same and we start walking towards the tower

There's a loud crash and I look around to see a superhero after stopping a car with his bare hands, I run over to them

"What happened?" I shout to the guy who I'm guessing is the superhero my teacher told us about

He looks at me surprised "he- he robbed the bank and I stopped him"

"Okay cool- did you check if he's ok?" I ask as he starts to turn around

"What? Why?" The superhero says, I can't remember his name

Ben runs up to us and grabs my shoulder "come on dads waiting for us"

"You have a dad?" The superhero asks confused

"Ehh, yeah?" I say to him

"You're Marvel Man right?" Ben asks and the superhero nods looking uncomfortable

"Right I'll check this guy you go find your dad or something" Marvel man says sounding almost annoyed

Ben and I reach the tower feeling a bit confused

"Is it just me or was that guy acting really weird" I say to Ben

"Yes he was" Ben says as we walk into the private elevator getting a few weird looks from the newer interns

We walk into the living room once the elevator reaches our floor

"Hey mama" I say sitting down next to where she and dad are on the couch

"Hey you two" she says to us

"Where were yous?" dad asks once Ben sits on the one seater

"Billie had to walk her boyfriend to the subway station" Ben says and Mama and dad look at me confused
