"It's all bullshit!" I complain to my best friends, Charlotte and Jacky. "I swear my brother is always trying to tell me what he thinks is best for me, but little does he know, that he's just an idiot!"
Jacky rolled her eyes, "Why don't you just stop listening to him and do whatever the hell you want?" She shifted her legs to sit criss cross on my bed.
Charlotte gave Jacky a look that was obviously calling her a dumb ass without using words.
I sighed, "Yeah, because he totally isn't a snitch and my dad totally isn't a control freak."
Jacky shrugged in embarrassment which made me feel somewhat bad for being sarcastic.
Charlotte jumped off my bed, "Why don't we do something fun to get your mind off of it?" She suggested with enthusiasm.
"I don't feel like doing anything, I just want to play baseball, but I can't because, 'I'm a girl.'" I quoted from my brother.
Jacky's face lit up, which told me she had an idea. She swung her legs onto the opposite side of my bed that Charlotte was on and jumped up. "Let's go to the sandlot!"
"And do what?" I gave Jacky a confused look, "Get bashed on for being related to my brother Jordan?"
Charlotte folded her arms, "You know damn well you'd love to go to the sandlot to watch Benjamin Rodriguez play ball."
"Of course I do. Who wouldn't? I'm only worried about his friends." I threw my back onto the bed.
Jacky grabbed my arm and pulled me off the bed, "We're going! Whether you like it or not!"
Jacky and Charlotte dragged me all the way out of the house. Just to go to the sandlot that the stupid group Benjamin was in would play on.
Once we finally had arrived there I felt sweat dripping from my forehead because of this heat. It had to be 90° degrees outside.
The three of us entered the fence and saw my brother's team all lined up on bikes, right in front of the team we came here to watch.
"Maybe we should go-"
"No!" Charlotte cut me off, "Let's go over there and find out what the hell is going on!" Charlotte held onto my upper arm as her and Jacky marched up to them.
"Well, if it isn't my sister." He greeted me. Jordan hopped off his bike and put his kickstand up. He took me from Charlotte and put his arm around me, "Don't you agree that this entire team right here is full of a bunch of dweebs? Other than Rodriguez, they shouldn't be allowed to touch foot onto this lousy excuse of a diamond."
I grabbed Jordan's arm and threw it off of my shoulders, "Why don't you just leave them be? They're only trying to have fun with their lives."
"Well their lives are sad! They ain't good enough to lick the dirt off our cleats!" He spat in defense.
"Watch it jerk!" The chubby red headed boy spoke.
"Shut up idiot!" My brother insulted back.
"Moron!"
"Scab eater!"
"Butt sniffer!"
"Puss licker!"
I rolled my eyes in second hand embarrassment, "Their insults are pathetic." I whispered to Charlotte.
"Fart smeller!" The red head continued.
"You eat dog crap for breakfast geek!"
"You mix your weenies with your mama's toe jam!"
"You bob for apples in the toilet! And you like it!"
"You play ball like a girl!"
Everybody went silent, acting as if the red head cussed in church. I looked at my brother, his offended look turned into a smirk, "I take that as a compliment. You should see how my sister plays."
I looked at Jordan with the most confused and shocked face. He would always tell me a girl should never play, and that I sucked. Why the hell is he switching up so suddenly?
"Ya' know, I'll even switch her out to be on my team. We'll see who really plays like a girl." Jordan continued.
I looked at the "team" standing right in front of me, I immediately locked eyes with Benjamin. I felt my stomach whirl so I immediately looked away.
Was I really going to playing a game against him?
