I woke up the sound of annoying birds chirping outside of my window. I sat up, finally, it's Saturday. No need to stress about school, or anything else. I got up and decided to get ready for the day.

I ran downstairs because I was going to head over to Charlotte's house

I ran downstairs because I was going to head over to Charlotte's house. My brother was there though, obviously waiting for me. "Where do you think you're going?"

"Charlotte's house." I responded.

"No, you're going to hang out with me and the boys today."

"Says who?" I said nonchalantly.

"Says me. We're going to play on our diamond, and to make it up to how I've treated you. I'll let you play."

I rolled my eyes, "Okay, whatever."

I went outside with Jordan and hopped on the back of his bike. He began riding in a familiar direction, "Where are we going?"

"I already told you, our diamond." He spat.

"This isn't how we get there."

"We're taking a short cut!" He defended, "Just shut up! I know what I'm doing!"

Sometimes I wish I could smack the fuck out of this boy and his big mouth. We pulled up to the sandlot, and not my brother's diamond. I hopped off the bike right before my brother did, "Oh my god you idiot!" I smacked his shoulder, "I actually believed we were headed to your diamond! How could I be so stupid?!"

"Calm down Rowan." Jordan put his hands out motioning for me to calm down, "We're just here to have a little fun with the boys."

I huffed out of anger as Jordan walked into the sandlot, "Wait!" I yelled chasing after him. Benny and his friends already noticed our presence. I already began to feel like shit. They all began to head toward us.

I grabbed onto Jordan's jacket, "Let's go Jordan!" I demanded.

He shoved me off of him, "Stop being so pushy!" He yelled. Once the boys were in front of us I felt extremely embarrassed. "Wow Rodriguez, you hang with all these rejects and you still chose them over my sister." Jordan began.

"Shut your mouth Phillips!" Defended Benny, "You don't know shit!"

My brother laughed in astonishment. I bit my cheek, trying to contain the anger that was building up inside of me. I felt like I was about to loose it.

"You act all tough at first until it comes to-"

"Shut up!" I yelled cutting my brother off, "I'm so sick of you treating other people this way!"

"What makes you think you have the right to talk?" He bitched. His pathetic comment pissed me off even more. I took a deep breath then decked my brother in the face. He fell backward and the whole group was shocked. My brother immediately got up, "What the hell?!"

"What the hell?!" I mocked him, "You should be asking yourself that question! Find something better to do with your sad life and stay out of mine!"

"You don't tell me what to do!"

I looked over at Benny, who was holding onto the bat. I took a step toward him and yanked the bat out of his hand. I poked my brother's chest, "Get. Out. Of. Here." I threatened him.

"You won't do anything." He smirked. I got ready to swing the bat at him, but he began running away.

I dropped the bat on the ground and looked at the group, "You guys are fucking welcome." I stormed off. With my eyes full of tears. I was those type of people that cried when they're frustrated.

"Wait Rowan!" I heard Benny call out to me.
