10 - A Small Talk

Ever since he got home he couldn't stop smiling. That was a great date.

Date? Was that even a date? He blushes at the thought. Him and Nick going on a date with Karl? Him going on a date with them? Being with them? Felt like heaven.

He sighed happily as he crashed onto his and Nick's shared bed, Nick chuckles at him as he sits down next to him.

"Tired?"

"A little yeah.."

Alex smiles happily as he closes his eyes, his hand searching around for Nick's until he finds it and holds onto it gently.

Nick laughs softly at that, the room soon falling into a comfortable silence as Nick lays down with him.

"Hey.. not to ruin the mood but after we get comfy can we talk about what happened at dinner tonight?"

Alex grips his hand a bit, making Nick look at him. He nods at him while smiling sadly. Nick smiles back, lifting his hand up and kissing it softly.

Alex blushes and giggles at this, slowly sitting up and letting Nick's hand go as he walks over to their closet.

Nick sits up as well, biting his lip as he watches Alex grab one of Nick's hoodies.

"Damnnnn. Your ass looks great in those pants."

"I know it does."

Alex looks back and winks at the taller, making them both laugh out loud. Alex walking to the bathroom to get a small shower.

Nick then gets up as well and gets changed into a loose tank top and some sweats. Nick isnt the skinniest but that doesn't matter to either of the boys. That's how he got the nickname panda/teddy bear.

Alex strips down and gets into the shower once it's the right temperature, sighing in relief as the water runs over his body. He needed this to be calm before having this talk.

Cause he knows it's gonna get deep. And he tries to be prepared every time they talk about him.

Alex shivers at the thought, not liking it. It makes him anxious.

He yelps when he hears a knock on the door. His heart rate begins to pick up. No..please...not again...

"Alex? You alright in there?"

Alex gulps, trying to respond. But he can't as his throat starts to tighten up. His back hits against the wall softly making him sink down in the shower, hugging himself.

He hears the door open, making his breath hitch.

"I'm going to open the shower curtain, okay?"

He nods but remembers he can't see him.

"Y..yes.."

It was such a tiny voice that Nick barely heard it, slowly peaking into the shower.

"Oh honey... it's time to get out, okay?"

Alex nods, taking the hand that Nick offers to him. Tears softly falling down his cheeks, Alex not noticing them until Nick wipes them away with his thumbs. He keeps his eyes glued to the floor as Nick takes care of him, turning off the shower, and handing him a towel.

"Do you need me to dry you? Or can you do it?"

Alex shakes his head softly, shakily taking the towel and drying himself. Nick doesn't get in the way but stays there to make sure he's okay. He does turn away to give the man a bit of privacy.

As Alex gets dressed and ready for bed they stay silent, Nick gently holding his hand as he brushes his teeth, Alex unlinking and linking their hands whenever he needs his.

Once they're done Alex leads them into bed, leaning his head against his lover's chest once they are sat in bed with the covers half covering them.

He fidgets with the stings on the hoodie as Nick runs his fingers through his hair. Knowing that's a tactic to calm him down.

Alex soon breaks the silence, sighing softly before speaking.

"It's just.... I got a little uneasy with the beer.. but what really topped it off was what Karl said... about being in a relationship... he's not interested..."

Nick waits for him to completely finish before responding.

"Hun... I know he said that but.. that doesn't mean he's against the idea with being with us... okay..? Give it a week and then maybe ask him.. okay?"

Alex hums softly and nods against his chest, taking a deep breath to keep himself calm. He doesn't want to cry right now. He just had a good night and doesn't want to ruin it.

"Is there anything else..?"

Alex shakes his head softly, nuzzling into his chest deeper as he wraps his arms around him.

"I love you."

"Love you too.."

Alex replies with a small voice as he yawns softly, his eyes slowly shutting. Slow, soft breaths can be heard from him. Notifying Nick that he's out.

Nick smiles and kisses his head softly, laying them both down and covering them with the blankets completely.

Soon Nick falls asleep happy, knowing Alex is safe in his arms and that there might be another person to give his love too.
