14 - Impromptu Sleepover

Nick's eyes slowly flutter open as he stares up into the dark sky, seeing that the moon is now high up into the sky.

He breathes softly and notices a weight on his shoulder, making him look down at a sleeping boy.

He blushes softly as he realizes it's Karl, making him smile as he gently squeezes his hand as he remembers their fingers are interlocked.

He then looks over at his small boyfriend, noticing that he's asleep as well. They all must've fallen asleep.

Guess this means it's time to go home.

But wait, he doesn't know Karl's address, and he wouldn't mind if he spent the night at their place. He honestly welcomes it!

But he can't know for sure unless he asks the boy himself.

He slowly sits up from laying down on the ground, his body slowly relaxing from being stiff. He stretches with his free arm to make him feel better.

He then slowly reaches down to the other, gently shaking him. Making sure to be careful not to let his hand go.

It takes a few shakes but the taller groans and goes to moves, but realizes he can't with the other boy on him. So his eyes slowly flutter open, adjusting to the light.

"Morning sleepy head.."

"Morning...?"

The older looks around a bit confused, a look of realization soon taking form on his face as he remembers the night they had.

He smiles up at the younger, giggling softly which makes the other chuckle.

"Hey...wanted to ask.. do you wanna sleepover at our place for the night?"

Karl doesn't even have to think about it, he instantly nods his head which makes Nick smile.

"Alright, let me get him to help you get up."

Karl nods as he tries to sit up but can't, letting out a soft whine and a fake pout. Nick chuckles at this as he stands up, hesitantly letting go of his hand to use it to pick Alex up.

Typically Alex is a pretty light sleeper but he seems to be out right now, so Nick gently picks him up and holds him bridal style, making him stir to adjust but he ends up wrapping his arms around Nick's neck for support.

Karl gets up when the smaller is picked up, stretching as Nick gets Alex adjusted in his hold.

"Ready?"

"Yep!"

Nick nods in response and walks towards their car, knowing Karl walked here. Karl does follow but gets distracted with either bugs or the pretty night sky. But every time they stop Nick can't help but smile as the boy looks so pretty in the moonlight.

As Karl stares up into the night sky, Nick thinks back to his dream. They almost kissed. Even though it wasn't real, it felt like it..

He wishes it were real badly.

Karl pulls him out of his gaze as he looks back at him, smiling. He then walks back over to him, making Nick begin moving towards his car again.

Once they finally get to and into the car, Nick buckles Alex in the backseat and lets Karl sit in the front with him.

They all get comfy in the car, Nick turning it on softly, making sure the volume is down so Alex doesn't wake up.

Nick then begins to drive home, the two deciding to sit in a comfortable silence while Karl gently hums along to the songs playing.

It doesn't take long for them to get home since none of them live that far away from the park, but Karl would rather be driven right now than walk in the cold night alone. Nick wouldn't want that either.

After he parks he turns off the car and gets out, heading to Alex's side in the back and getting him out. Karl follows as he gets out as well and waits for Nick.

Once they approach the front door Nick remembers he needs his keys to get in.

"Hey, can you grab my keys? Their in my back pocket."

Karl nods and looks down, he can't help but blush as he reaches down into his pockets to grab his keys, sighing in relief as he quickly finds them. Nick notices how flustered he is and can't help but smile. He's too cute.

Karl unlocks the door for him and decides to put the keys on their counter instead of back in his pocket.

Karl takes a second to get used to where he is now. A small house that's good for a small family of three. Karl thinks about if they we're together. Would he move in here? Well, he'll have to see how the future goes.

He then feels a hand on his shoulder gently squeezing him.

"Huh?"

"I asked if you wanted to watch a movie?"

"Oh! Uh.. sure!"

Karl smiles nervously as blush makes its way to his face. He found that to be a little embarrassing.

Nick nods as he takes Karl over to their couch, making him realize he's already laid Alex out. The sight of the boy asleep peacefully makes the both of them 'awe' on the inside, Karl accidentally letting it slip out.

"I know right? He's so adorable.."

Karl blushes as he nods, sitting on the empty spot on the couch that Nick left for the both of them. Nick sitting right next to him after.

Nick then turns on Netflix as Karl recommends some movies, knowing he won't be fully paying attention.

He then turns on some cheesy romcom, sighing softly as he puts the remote down. Not even twenty minutes into the movie he feels a weight on his shoulder as some light snores escape the tallest of the three.

Nick can't help but smile at the two boys on his sides, his boyfriend's head on his lap as he plays with his hair. He soon joins the other two in dreamland as he rests his head against Karl's.
