13 - The Park

Another boring day passes as he walks out of the little ice cream shop he works at. But soon that was about to turn around.

He looks down at himself, debating on if he should run home quickly to get changed. But a buzz from his phone catches his attention.

Alex
Hey! We're here, just letting you know, no rush!

Karl
Okay! Be there in a few!

He sighs as he starts walking towards the park, guess that answers his question.

It's not a far walk to the park, but he's still pretty tired from work. He takes this time to admire how calm it is now as the sun sets.

He feels the breeze goes through his hair as a reminder that fall is coming up soon. Maybe he'll get to spend the next holidays with the boys he loves.

The boys he loves? Who?

"Hey! Karl!"

He looks over to the person calling his name, his body becoming light as his cheeks turn pink as he looks at two people waving to him.

Them. Those are the boys he loves.

A smile makes its way to his face as his feet lead him to them. Greeting them both with a nice hug.

"Wow, it's only been a day! Clingy aren't we?"

Nick chuckles as he makes the remark while hugging the boy back, getting a giggle out of the taller.

"Just a little."

He giggles a bit, looking over at the playground.

Alex notices and gains a smirk on his face.

"You thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?"

Karl looks down at the smaller male, smiling and nodding his head.

They both take ahold of Nick's hands and pull him over to the playground. No one was there by now since it was getting dark, which was perfect for them.

Alex and Karl climb into the play set while Nick sits on the swings, watching them.

He could get used to this.

"Ah!! Alex Help!!"

Alex looks back worried for Karl, but burst out laughing as he sees what's the problem.

Karl managed to get stuck when coming in, he thought he could fit!

"Stop laughing and help me!!"

"Okay okay! Hold on!"

Alex lets out little laughs as he comes over to him, helping him in. Giggling at his cute angry face.

"It's not funny! Now my hips hurt!"

"Aweeee need me to message them for you?"

"Huh?- Wha- n-no!"

Karl quickly becomes flustered at the thought, whimpering as he hides his face away.

Alex laughs but calms down as he slowly realizes what he said, blushing madly.

"I-I didn't mean it like that!!"

"Sure you didn't!"

Nick hollers from the swings, a smirk on his face as Alex looks down at him annoyed.

"Shut up! I'll come down there and beat you up!"

"I'd like to see you try!"

Nick laughs at this as Alex gets red in the face, becoming embarrassed. Karl notices his face and smiles, sitting up from his laying down position and crawling over to Alex.

"Aweeee is someone embarrassed?"

"I-I am not! Just.. whatever!!"

Alex growls in frustration as he gets up, going to the other side and sitting in a corner. Karl frowns as he realizes that he looked genuinely upset.

Karl slowly crawls over to where he is, sitting beside him and sighing softly.

"Sorry if that remark was too much.. I didn't mean it seriously, I hope you know that. I didn't know it would upset you, I'm sorry.."

It silent for a moment, making Karl worry more. But then Alex jumps onto Karl suddenly, making him yelp as Alex laughs.

"Who said you made me upset? It's called acting, silly."

Karl blushes at the nickname, his face becoming even more red as he realizes Alex is pinning him down.

Alex's smile disappears as he notices his face, soon their position, and now he's blushing.

"S-sorry!"

He laughs nervously as he quickly tries to get off of him, but Karl stops him for some reason. A reason too good for him to give up, Alex's eyes. He can't stop looking at them, it was like looking into the calm sea.

They're so pretty...

"What are you two doing?"

They both quickly look over to see Nick entering the play set, seeming to be struggling to get in like Karl was earlier.

Alex now gets off of him and helps Nick into the play set. Karl sitting up and hugging his knees.

"Oh, Y'know... guy stuff."

Alex chuckles nervously as Nick eyes him. This makes Alex gulp visibly as he worries he actually upset his boyfriend. But soon Nick smiles at him.

"I'm just kidding, I'm not mad... well maybe a little since you left me out."

They all laugh at that, soon deciding to get down and head towards an open field area. All three of them laying down next to each other with Karl in the middle.

"Y'know... today was a good day."

Karl breaks the peaceful silence as they all stare up at the sky, watching as it becomes covered in stars.

"Yeah.."

They both respond to him, Alex resting his head on the taller's shoulder. While the other relaxes next to him.

He blushes as he looks at the two, deciding to interlace both his hands with theirs. To his surprise they hold his hands back.

Karl smiles at this. These two boys are special to him, whether they know it or not.

They're his boys. And he hopes it will always be this way in the future.
