"Don't run so fast, Hu guî. Some people can't run like that." Chongyun complained. His enthusiastic girlfriend ran ahead of him, giggling. She seriously hadn't changed these five years.
"Chongyun!" I called to the blue haired boy. He bowed to me and smiled. "Lumine xiâo mèi! How are you?"
"Pretty good!" I grinned. We hadn't seen each other for long. After that incident, I'd learned of Xingqiu's death and it had become even more hard for me to recover from the fact that so many people close to me had died. It was the efforts of my friends that had brought me out of that traumatised state. Five years had passed in the blink of an eye.
Hu Tao had started going out with Chongyun. Their friendship had blossomed into something greater, and after the loss of Xingqiu, they had stuck together like glue, due to the loss of their friend. Hu Tao had finally moved on and accepted to be Chongyun's girlfriend when he confessed to her. It was something pretty cute, and Hu Tao had given up her family business for Chongyun, and become a doctor instead, which was even cuter. As for me, I'd gotten engaged to Kazuha. I glanced fondly at the engagement ring on my finger. We were both alone with no blood related family, but to us, we were all the family we needed.
"Sorry to have kept you waiting." Kazuha's voice sounded as he approached the graveyard. I smiled at him as I wrapped my arm around his. He stood close to me, and I took in his sweet scent as I looked at the graves. Hu Tao went over to Xingqiu's grave and started talking all to herself. Chongyun claimed she was talking to Xingqiu's spirit. I knelt down towards Childe's grave.
How many years had it been since I'd last seen that boy with his fascinating blue eyes and mischievous smile? I fondly remembered the good times we'd had together. I regretted throwing him away, and I regretted not being able to save his life. I touched the grave with my hands, and felt tears trickle down my cheek. Kazuha knelt down beside me as well and closed his eyes in prayer. I did the same.
Please be well, wherever you are. I'm so sorry for hurting you.
I opened my eyes again, and hand in hand with Kazuha, I left the grave.
Unknowing of the pair of ocean blue eyes that were still alive, and watched us from a distance.
