It was rare in her life for Rebecca to be held at gunpoint with a man's arm shoved against her throat. It was even more rare for her to feel anything other than fear from it. Somehow during her training with Chris, she felt the opposite of fear. Whatever that was. She felt safe, and she was definitely learning. She also felt her face heating up when Chris' body collided with hers, as he demonstrated what Wesker had shown them earlier. But that was natural, right?

Chris managed to teach Rebecca a lot in the hour they were training. She now knew how to load and unload a gun, how to dodge and block attacks fairly well, and he was currently teaching her how to put someone in a fairly compromised position. Rebecca never thought she would ever learn any of this stuff. But it was fun. Chris especially made it fun because of the way he taught. Rebecca could definitely see how he could be reckless in combat.

She hadn't even spent that much time with him, but she already had respect for him, despite his argumentative and rebellious ways. It's like Richard said, Chris had really strong unwavering beliefs. Rebecca could definitely respect that.

She tapped on his arm for him to let her go, and he did.

"That seems difficult." Chris looked at her,

"Well you managed to do everything else with relative ease." He pointed at her,

"Ready?" Rebecca was not ready, but Chris came toward her anyway. She grabbed for his arm that was, well, armed, in an attempt to remove the gun from his grip. This turned out to be a bad move, as Chris not only dodged her, but grabbed both of her arms and forced her to the ground, his gun now to her head.

"Aaaaand you're dead." He said casually, placing his knee against her back to keep her in place. Rebecca wiggled a bit, trying to find a way out of it. No dice. She turned her head to look at him,

"That sucked." Chris chuckled and let go of her, holding out his hand again to help her up. She took his hand and he pulled her up easily.

"You'll get it. This kind of defense involves a lot of thinking on your feet. So we'll work on it." Rebecca let out a tired breath and nodded. She noticed Jill approaching them, and Wesker eyeing them from where they were training.

"How's it going over here?" Rebecca smiled. Jill was really nice for coming to check up on her.

"It's a lot of work, but I'm managing. Chris has a lot of skill." She said, trying not to sound like a suck-up. Jill put her hands on her hips.

"Yeah? Is he showing off?" Chris pointed at her,

"I never show off. My talents are natural." Jill gave him a look. At this point the rest of the pairs had started to look in their direction. Jill grabbed his wrist while he pointed. It didn't take much for her to turn around and swing Chris over her shoulder, so he landed on his back with a hard smack on the mats in the gym. She held onto his arm as she put her foot on his chest.

"That's how it's done Christopher." There was silence. And then Brad started a slow clap for Jill. When no one joined him, and Wesker glanced in his direction, he gradually stopped,

"Go Jill." He said quietly. Chris gave Jill a playful smile and rolled his eyes.

"Alright, Valentine. You win this round." Rebecca was in awe of both of them. Jill eventually helped Chris back up and he awkwardly dusted himself off. He looked to Rebecca,

"You should take notes from Jill too. She's the best there is." Rebecca nodded fervently,

"Of course!" Chris put his hand on her shoulder. Rebecca glanced at it and then looked back up at him.
