Despite the fact that the majority of the S.T.A.R.S. team was bad at keeping secrets from each other, and Richard stepped on a balloon before she came in, Jill was pretty surprised to find her entire unit standing in a pile of balloons shouting at her. She looked around to see her apartment covered in cheap party decorations, food on her counter, and a cake on her kitchen table. She smiled.

"So??? Are you surprised??" Chris asked her excitedly. Jill kept smiling and nodded a bit,

"Interestingly enough I am. This is really sweet." She turned back to Brad and put her hands on her hips.

"You sneaky little bastard." Brad, who was basically still standing in the hallway, gave her a shy smile and shrugged his shoulders,

"Chris was the one who planned it all."

"Gave us all jobs and everything. Do you like the decorations?" Barry asked, clearly proud of his choices. Jill laughed,

"I love it, Barry." She looked at Chris,

"You really planned this for me?" Chris nodded and went over to her.

"Well, we all put work into it. But it was my idea, yeah." He gave her a little side hug,

"It's like I told Rebecca. You deserve it." Jill looked over at Rebecca, who had just been watching the scene unfold.

"He dragged you into this too?" Rebecca put on her best smile,

   "I was happy to help."

"Enough with this mushy stuff! Let's party!" Richard couldn't hold in his words for five minutes. He smacked on some music and the party began.

One thing they forgot was beer, which Jill complained about. Brad gladly went on a run to the store for her, and when he came back with a couple packs Jill officially let the party commence.

The team was scattered around Jill's apartment. Some areas were more eventful than others. Richard was in the middle of Jill's living room dancing to music that was too loud, holding a beer. Edward was sitting on the couch watching him, somewhat intrigued but also nervous,

"Don't spill that all over Jill's carpet!" He called out to Richard, who waved him off,

"I'm not gonna spill it Eds!"

Chris had set up beer pong on Jill's dining table. He was on a team with Forest, with Joseph and Kevin on the other side. Kenneth was watching intently. It seemed Chris and Forest were in the process of losing,

"Never would've expected you guys to be so good at this!" Chris exclaimed, grabbing one of the cups on the table and downing its contents.

"Never would've expected you to be so bad at this!" Kevin hollered out, leaning his hands on the table, waiting for one of them to make a move.

Rebecca was leaning against the kitchen counter with Jill, watching the boys play. Jill was drinking, Rebecca couldn't bring herself to. Luckily Jill wasn't too far gone yet. She smiled while watching them,

"Jesus he really is horrible." She said, watching Chris aim a ping pong ball and miss catastrophically. Rebecca watched Chris too, unbeknownst to Jill. She also glanced over to see Brad sitting near the table, watching but not interacting with the rest of them. Rebecca looked at Jill,

"I wish he would just put himself out there." Jill furrowed her brows in confusion, and then looked in Brad's direction when Rebecca nodded her head at him subtly. Jill's confused face turned into understanding,
