A lying Witch and a Warden

I stood in the potion workshop in the Owl House, creating healing potions for a clients while waiting for Eda to return from her weekend trips to the market. I don't know why she kept doing that. Between the two of us, our potion's business and my job as a healer, we made more than enough money. I sighed, continuing to brew. Then I heard voices outside, one was Eda, but the other I didn't recognize.

 Aren't you worried about those guards finding us?" Who was that? "Nope, my house has a state of the art defense system." That was Eda. "Hoot, hoot. Password please? OW!" Something struck Hooty, probably Eda. "We got no time for this, Hooty. Let us in!" Eda said. "Alright, alright. Jeez! You never want to have any fun! Ow! Hoot!" Hooty complained before letting them in. Eda walked in with a young girl with tan skin and brown hair and eyes. Wait, was that a human?. "Welcome to the...Owl House." Eda said with a smirk and snapped her fingers, lighting the candles. "Where I hide away from the pressures of modern life. Also the cops, also ex-boyfriends." Eda laughed. "This place is beautiful. Do you live here all alone?" The girl asked Eda. Eda crossed her arms. "Actually, I have two roommates." As Eda said this, stomping was heard, coming closer. "Who dares intrude upon I, the King of Demons." King said coming into view wearing a bath towel and holding a rubber ducky. The girl gasped, her eyes going wide. "Ai, que lindo!" She said while running forward to grab King. "Eda! He is so cute!" She said, squeezing King tightly and began babying him, scaring King slightly. "Eda! Who is this monster?!" Eda walked forward and grabbed the girl. "Oh, this is Luz, the human. She's here to help us with our little situation." Eda said before looking around. "Hey, where's Kaia?" By now I had walked into the living room and was looking at them with a quirked brow. "I'm here, Eda."

Luz stared at the pale woman with black hair and blue eyes. "Hello, I'm Lykaia." I greeted with a smile, which Luz returned with a wave. I looked at Eda. "Eda, what kind of trouble have you gotten yourself into now?" I asked, amused with my friend. "Hey! Why do you always assume I got into trouble." She protested, crossing her arms. I gave her a blank look and Eda got a strange look on her. "Wait! Don't answer that. Anyway the human is here to help us with our issue." Luz looked confused. "Wait, wait, wait! I don't like the sound of this issue." The child said as she held up her fingers as she said issue. Eda back up a bit. "Just let me explain." Eda began and drew a spell circle for a memory viewing spell. 

"Kingwas once a mighty king of Demons. Until his crown of power was stolen and hebecame this." Eda said as he pointed to King's adorable form. Luz wasstill hugging him as she listened to Eda's story and I sat on the couch. "Youmean this little bundle of joy." Luz said with a smile. "The crown is beingheld by the evil Warden Wrath and locked away behind a magical force field thatonly a human can break through. A human like you." Eda said mentioned to a nowworried Luz. "If you help us retrieve his crown, we'll send you back to yourrealm. So what do you say?!" Eda finished with a wide smile and outstretchedhands. I got up and stood next to my friend and looked at the human child. "We could really use your help in this, Luz." Eda grabbed King. "Plus,who could say no to this cute face." She said holding onto King and squeezedhis cheeks. King protested. "No! Please don't encourage her!" He yelled beforefreeing himself and leaping into my arms. Eda shrugged and looked the human. "Imean, we're kind of your only way home." I rolled my eyes and gave Eda look."Luz?." The human looked at me. "Will you please help us?" I asked. Luz lookedsomewhat torn. "I don't really have a choice, do I." She said with a frown."Nope!" Eda said excitedly before grabbed Luz and threw her over hershoulder. "Now we've got no time tolose! Come on Kaia!" I sighed while shaking my head at friends antics butfollowed them regardless. I just hoped the Emperor wouldn't be there to catchus. I did not want to deal with that man. King grabbed his rubber ducky. "SoonMr. Ducky. We shall drink the fears of those who mocked us!" He said and ranafter us. "Where are we going?" Luz asked from Eda's shoulder. "Somewhere superfun!" Eda answered. I rolled my eyes at that. "Yes, fun." I was being sarcastic.
