James' POV:
There were rumors going around school that lauren is coming home.
"Hey, mom?" I asked.
"Yeah?" She said.
"You know the girl i was telling you about?" I asked.
"You mean the girl who tried to kill herself?" She asked.
"Yeah. Shes alive & i want to apologize for what i did in 5th grade." I said.
"James, what did you do to her?" She asked.
"I was mean to her..." I said.
"I'll drive you to the airport." She said.
"Thanks mom." I said.

*at the airport*
I saw shannon, abby, hanna, chloe, magnus, amber, kayla, mackenzie & a few others waiting for her.
I didn't walk over there, i knew they'd be pissed if they saw me.
I saw lauren walk over to her friends, i saw her look in my direction.
Crap.

"James?" Lauren said as she walked over to me.
"Hi." I said with a smile.
I'm such an idiot. Gosh, she's so pretty now.
"Why are you here? I thought you hated me..." Lauren said.
"I'm here to say sorry." I said.
"It's too late for apologies. You broke my heart." Lauren said.
I handed her a letter.
She didn't open it.
"Aren't you gonna read it?" I asked.
"Maybe, maybe not." Lauren said.
"I'm sorry for what i did to you & i love you a lot. Ever since fifth grade." I said.
Why did i say no to her? She's just so kind to everyone.
"Stop saying that. I changed. I'm not desperate for 'love' anymore. I have a boyfriend & I'm not gonna cheat on him with some douche bag who thinks it's okay to use someone because they're dating someone famous. I'm not gonna be part of the popular group. I'm not leaving my real friends. I will never be one of you, i like not being popular. I like my friends, i like everything i already have. If you want to be my friend that'd be awesome as heck but we will never date." Lauren said.
I can't believe she said that much without freaking out or getting anxious. She must've been holding that in for a while.
"Damn, for a shy girl you talk a lot." I said.
Why the fuck did i say that?
"I'm not shy, I'm just quiet. If i was shy i wouldn't be talking to you." Lauren said.
"Why did i say no to you?" I asked.
"Because i was ugly & i wasn't popular like you." Lauren said.
She walked away from me.
"Lauren, wait." I said as i ran after her.
"James, leave me alone." Lauren said.
I grabbed her arm lightly, she turned around. I kissed her.
She pulled away & ran away crying.
"I'm such an idiot." I whispered to myself.
