"What time did we even get back last night" Josie sits up, rubbing the side of her head.
"Around 12, you pretty much passed out while dancing" I joke.
"I'm sorry" Josie apologises with a smile.
"Its all good, I was getting back anyway" I laugh.
"Oh shit I totally forgot... please tell me you haven't done that assignment so I'm not the only one" Josie explains.
"Yeah the weirdest thing happened, Lizzie added me onto hers so I'm safe" I tell her.
I take a seat on the end if the bed.
"I think she likes you" Josie teases.
I immediately get tense at that thought... no she doesn't.
"Pff oh yeah as if.... Lizzie would rather see me dead than date me" I try to spin my way out of it.
"I meant as a friend way... yeah Lizzie's painfully straight, She still has pictures of David Beckham on her walls that have been there since she was 9" Josie ironically smirks.
That was funny to me, I couldn't help but laugh at the fact that even her sister didn't suspect a thing, If she'd known what went down yesterday I can guarantee she wouldn't believe me.
I think Lizzie's internalised homophobia is due to her hidden sexuality, she's deflecting and I don't know why.
"Well if you need help to do the assignment, I won't mind to give you a hand" I offer her, taking a seat at my desk.
"Are you sure... god you're a lifesaver" Josie's face lights up.
"No problem yeah" I smile back at her.
In a matter of minutes we were both sat at my desk, pens and pencils in hand... laptop and books dashed across the desk.
It was so funny watching Josie's face filled with concentration, desperately trying to find any sentences in the text book and instantly writing them down.
"You're a lot easier to work with than your sister" I Break the silence.
"I can imagine" Josie turns to face me.
"She doesn't listen, I'll tell her something like how to spell 'phesmatos' and she'll go ahead and spell it as 'Festmatos' time and time again... oh and she never keeps her paper straight when she writes, its always at a 90° angle... or when she holds her pencil ever so slightly to close to the led so that she'll drag her hand and smudge the whole paper.. or wh-" I caught myself speaking too much so I cut myself off... wow I did really pay attention to Lizzie.
I freeze when I realise that a small questionable smirk appeared on Josie's face as she turned to face me.
"Hey Mikaelson" Josie calls out.
"Yes" I swiftly reply.
"You're not crushing on my sister are you" Josie enquires, putting her pencil down and crossing her arms.
"Pff are you joking? Your sister.. Lizzie Saltzman?? No... How could you even think that pff.. no She's- she's" I instantly find myself stuck on a way to insult her... like I said, its become a lot harder to insult someone I slept with.
It was clear I was lying... well it was to me.
"Yeah good...she'll break your heart into two pieces in a matter of seconds" Josie enquires further as she carries on writing facts for her essay.
"Yeah" I just sigh, looking at my lap.
I mean of course I didn't like Lizzie, it was just a casual hook up... no feelings attached... besides she's straight and thats just a recipe for disaster right?
I just carry on writing, desperately not wanting to speak and bring up what we'd just talked about... I feel as if she knew.
"I'm going to go grab a drink, do you want one" I ask Josie, wanting to leave for some fresh air.
"I'll take a Diet Coke" Josie adds.
I leave the room and instantly take a sigh of relief.
But sure that wasn't the end of my suffering... oh god no definitely not.
I walk slightly down the hallway and see a group of people in a circle, noticing a couple, Penelope, Alyssa, Lizzie, Sebastian, Jed, Kaleb.
I can barely see what's going on, until I hear another voice, one I hadn't necessarily heard before.
I can see through a gap of a person that there's a girl, being tormented relentlessly by the girls, I felt sick... until I noticed who it was... it was Jade.
A part of me wanted to leave her, after all she was dating someone who I wanted.... but I just couldn't.
I notice they are looking through her bag, throwing her books onto the ground and looking through her art books.
"Look at her, So pathetic" Penelope's voice speaks louder.
I now manage to push some people to the side.
"Hey hey... fucking hell, leave her- leave her alone" I manage to reach the middle of the group as I'm now stood there with Jade.
"Woah saved by the mighty Hope Mikaelson" Alyssa cockily starts.
"I said back off" I don't know why but it slightly reminded me of what they used to do to me, constantly torment me.
I step right up close to her, my eyes flashing a gold.
Jade manages to get out of there, all her books in her hand.
The next thing I know, Penelope's hands grasp the collar of my shirt as I'm practically thrown up against the lockers behind me.
"You think you're big, Mikaelson... look at you" Penelope begins to taunt.
I knew for a fact if I started a fight, it would end in me killing someone and to be honest, I don't want that.
This is the first time I hear Lizzie's part in this.
"Penelope knock it off" Lizzie says softly.
"She needs to know to stay out of other people's business" Penelope's voice says aggravated.
"Ironic" I say cockily.
"Penelope I said knock it off" Lizzie now raises her voice a little.
Penelope begins to tighten her grip on my collar, almost shaking me a little.
"So, how do you feel... Be that your little girlfriend is seeing someone else" Penelope now starts to shout.
"Perfectly fine" I make a small smile with my mouth to come across as cocky.
"I fucking told you to knock it off" Lizzie shouts out of no where.
Pushing Penelope off me as she stands directly infront of her, she was obviously intimidated as I mean.. Penelope is practically half the height of Lizzie at this point.
"Whatever Saltzman" Penelope shrugs off as she walks off.
The whole group diffuses, leaving just Lizzie and i.
"Thanks" I say appreciative.
"You owe me" Lizzie utters before walking off to her friends.
Yes I do.
